Australia has once again been awarded two top honours at the seventh annual Travel Weekly Readers' Choice Awards, held in New York last week.

Travel Weekly is the ‘national newspaper of the travel industry' in the US and it was the publication's readers who determined the nominees, finalists and ultimately, the winners in each category.

Sydney reclaimed its title as the Best Asia-Pacific City from Hong Kong, who won the crown last year following three consecutive Sydney wins, while Australia won the Best Asia-Pacific Country for the sixth consecutive year.
