This year's WIT will feature a slightly different format to offer delegates of both WIT and ITB Asia maximum opportunities to attend both events.
"Following feedback from last year where some delegates said they found the overlap on the second day of WIT with the first day of ITB Asia to be inconvenient, we have decided to configure our event around customer needs," said Yeoh Siew Hoon, WIT's producer.
The main conference of WIT will start on Oct 20 and end at noon on Oct 21, the day ITB Asia begins. There will then be two morning WIT workshops on Oct 22-23, from 9-11am. ITB Asia opens its doors at 11am from Oct 21-23.
As with last year, WIT delegates will have access to all ITB Asia areas while ITB Asia delegates will get preferential rates to attend the WIT conference and workshops.
The two events are extending their partnership following last year's successful tie-up which saw WIT attract record numbers and the inaugural ITB Asia smashing attendance targets.
"Looking especially at the uncertainties that the Asian travel industry is encountering, ITB Asia is happy to contribute to a discussion platform that caters to the needs of the delegates," said Dr Martin Buck, director of Messe Berlin (Singapore).
