Search and Beyond is reflecting the reality that attracting website visitors through search engines is only half the battle for online marketers.

Bloggers, scientists and of course search marketers populate a powerful speaking roster at the fourth Search Engine Room conference in Sydney, October 7, 2008.

"There's no argument that getting high search rankings has never been more important – virtually no-one looks beyond the front page of Google – but simply attracting traffic is not enough these days," said event director Martin Kelly.

"Search costs are rising as demand for space and talent increases, so it's crucial to have strategies in place that attracts the right traffic for the right reasons - relevance is everything."

Search Engine Room offers comprehensive coverage of the online ad industry's fastest-growing sector, now worth more than $400m.
