Revitalized Ghirardelli Square welcomes first owners of the new luxury waterfront private residence club homes.

JMA Ventures, LLC (JMA), owners of San Francisco's historic Ghirardelli Square, is pleased to announce that construction of Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square is now complete and that owners of the luxury private residence club are now enjoying the many services and amenities of Fairmont Heritage Place and the newly revitalized Ghirardelli Square.

"We are very pleased to welcome our owners to their new homes," said Jean-Francois Vary, club director, Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square. "Fairmont Heritage Place provides our owners with a vacation home alternative in a prime real estate market, combined with a one-of-a-kind historic location, an exciting new roster of Ghirardelli Square retail tenants, and Fairmont's dedication to the ultimate in personal attention and luxury. We are confident that our owners will enjoy an elegant and hassle-free lifestyle while in residence."

Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square, represents one of the city's most distinctive and exciting new options for luxury living in a location inextricably linked with San Francisco's rich and colorful history. Offering 1/10th deeded ownership interests of just 53 residences, this is a highly limited, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a piece of a San Francisco icon. Owners enjoy the advantages of home ownership combined with the services and amenities of a world-class Fairmont hotel.

Artfully blending historic ambience with modern luxury, the Fairmont Heritage Place homes offer expansive one- two- and three-bedroom floor plans that range from 1,200 to 1,900 square feet, large living spaces with up to 12-foot ceilings, modern kitchens with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, LCD televisions, in-home fireplaces and exposed brick. The large bedrooms feature spacious closets, Mascioni linens, 42-inch LCD televisions and private terraces with unobstructed views of the bay, Alcatraz Island and the Marin County headlands.

Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square owners enjoy an array of personalized services and amenities -- from exclusive access to many of the Ghirardelli Square shops and restaurants to a dedicated concierge team, butler service, Maserati Quattroporte house car service, personal wine storage, and access to in-residence dining by any of the Ghirardelli Square restaurants. In addition, Fairmont Heritage Place owners gain entry into the ultra-exclusive Fairmont President's Circle, which provides distinctive benefits and is offered by invitation only. Owners of Fairmont Heritage Place homes also have access to reciprocal use options at any other Fairmont Heritage Place or any property in the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts or Raffles Hotels & Resorts' portfolios.

The unique and intimate physical space of Ghirardelli Square includes an exciting mix of high-end retail, fine dining, artisanal foods, spa facilities and much more, while the site's premier location serves as an ideal home base from which to enjoy San Francisco and Northern California's many attractions.

New shops at Ghirardelli -- part of the overall revitalization plan of the iconic complex of red brick buildings -- include Marché on the Square, a specialty food market and wine bar brasserie, which as an amenity to owners will offer pre-arrival grocery stocking; Cellar360, an urban vineyard wine and food experience brought to the Square in part by COPIA; Kara's Cupcakes, a San Francisco-based purveyor of organic cupcakes; Lola's of North Beach, a high-end paper store offering personalized stationery and unique gift items; O'Neill's Irish Pub; Peekadoodle Kidsclub, the Bay Area's first premium, full-service, indoor family club; and much more. Soon-to-open offerings include a new restaurant by famed chef Gary Danko and a 10,000-square-foot Willow Stream Spa, which is slated to open in 2009.

Steeped in the history of San Francisco, Ghirardelli Square dates to the mid-1800s, when it served as the original site of the Ghirardelli family's chocolate, cocoa, mustard and box factories. Today, it is a popular destination for San Francisco visitors and Bay Area residents, offering shopping, waterfront dining, art galleries, family events and more. One of the first successful mixed-use redevelopment projects in the United States, Ghirardelli Square has been a San Francisco landmark for more than 100 years. To ensure its preservation, Ghirardelli Square was granted National Historic Register status in 1982.
