New website for Moevenpick.
Wednesday, 21st May 2008
Source : Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts
The new site is precisely tailored to user needs and perfectly reflects the upscale image of the international hotel group, with Swiss roots.

User friendliness, regular updates, information content, clarity of presentation and design were the most important criteria in the re-launch of moevenpick-hotels.com.

The new website developed by the Munich-based agency Ray Sono specialising in online portals involved, apart from a new concept and design, a comprehensive content management system as well as a new and completely integrated booking engine (RedX Reservation System).

A flash stage on the welcome page provides space for special offers. With a new look and feel, the individual hotels present themselves through more and larger images and comprehensive information.

The online reservation process is much easier and faster: prospective guests can now book their rooms in just five simple steps. In addition, customers will, in the near future, be offered simple, easy-to-book upgrade options as well as a variety of ancillary services. A new search-as-you-type feature will soon be added to the search functions.

In line with the new website, the Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts newsletter also appears in a new outfit.

In addition to a thematic hotel search function, a members-only area which users can log into, which offers numerous advantages (e.g. display of already booked rooms), is now online for the first time. Every hotel now also offers virtual greeting cards which can be sent directly from the website.

"The re-launch of our website is a vital e-marketing measure", explains Steven Nikolov, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. "Our website is becoming increasingly important. www.moevenpick-hotels.com visitor numbers are soaring year after year and it is already our strongest electronic booking channel."
