Accor has taken over the former Renaissance London Gatwick Hotel and it will be re -branded as the Mercure London Gatwick, as of the 23rd May 2008.
The hotel is Accor's third at Gatwick, joining Sofitel and Ibis hotels at the highly strategic transport hub.
The 254-room Mercure London Gatwick is well-located, being only half a mile from Gatwick Airport (5 minutes by shuttle bus) and minutes from the M23.
The hotel boasts a variety of room types, all modern and stylish with en-suite facilities, all comfort cooled and all with high-speed internet access.
There is 2,125 square metres of flexible meeting space including 15 meeting rooms, the largest able to hold up to 220 delegates. All meeting rooms have high-speed internet access.
In line with many other Mercure hotels in the UK, the hotel has its own fitness suite.
There is wi-fi in all public areas and the hotel has extensive car parking space.
The hotel will undergo a refurbishment programme in the second half of the year, but this will be undertaken without any disruptions to guests.
The property reflects the Mercure brand's approach to quality food and wine with a choice of two restaurants, Pavilion and L'Olivio. Guests will also be able to enjoy Mercure hotels' exclusive wine list Les Grands Vins which is designed to give guests a choice of specially selected wines at prices they can afford. The wines are also available in the hotel's Atlas Bar.
