A management agreement for a modern 5-star hotel in the heart of the Syrian capital, Damascus has just been signed with the owning company Toumeh International Group.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has taken yet another important step in its Middle East expansion strategy. The new Mövenpick Hotel Damascus, which will form part of a large shopping mall, is already under construction and scheduled for completion in 2010.

The new Mövenpick Hotel Damascus boasts an excellent location in the city centre, in the immediate vicinity of the government ministries, and offers 268 spacious rooms and suites.

Other amenities include a restaurant, lobby lounge, health and beauty centre, and an outdoor swimming pool as well as tennis courts.

A multi-purpose function room for up to 300 persons is available for banquets and conferences, along with six meeting rooms and a business centre.
