Clear® Registered Traveler announced today that Virgin Atlantic Airways will be the first airline to bring Clear to travelers at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The Airline will market the program to travelers through online, outdoor and in-airport advertising.

At Newark, Clear will launch at Terminal B, which serves Virgin Atlantic Airways and several other major airlines. Online enrollment for the Newark program is live today at flyclear.com. Clear's airport enrollment facilities will open in February and the program will be fully operational by mid-March.

The registered traveler program allows business travelers and other frequent fliers to pay an annual fee of $99.95 to provide their background information for pre-screening by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and, if approved, receive a biometric identity card that will allow them expedited access through airport security checkpoints.

"Superior customer service and stress-free travel are two things that our travelers have come to expect from Virgin Atlantic," said Chris Rossi, Vice President Sales and Marketing, North America. "Clear Registered Traveler will serve to enhance the Virgin Atlantic experience."

Last week, Clear began a national roll-out of its program. It launched lanes at JFK Terminal 7, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and San Jose Airports. Already more than 1,000 people have enrolled for the program in New York. Clear has been operational at the Orlando Airport since July 2005 and now has over 36,000 participants nationwide.

"Thanks to the leadership of Virgin Atlantic, travelers who sign up for the program will now be able to use it at Newark, in addition to an expanding array of locations across the country," said Clear founder and CEO Steven Brill.
