195-room Courtyard opens in historic Pilsen- situated about 70 kilometers southwest of Prague on the highway connecting Prague with Bavaria/Germany, offers a number of historic tourism attractions. Marriott International opened its third Courtyard hotel and its fifth Marriott branded property in the Czech Republic, the 195-room Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen, under a management agreement with ECM Hotel Operations Plzen s.r.o.
Two other Courtyard hotels recently opened in the Czech Republic in Prague – the Courtyard by Marriott Prague Flora and the Courtyard by Marriott Prague International Airport.
The general manager is Anton Mueller. Guests traveling to Pilsen may take advantage of a special grand opening rate of 88 Euro per night plus all applicable taxes.
The Courtyard by Marriott Pilsen is located in the historic center of Pilsen as part of a mixed-use development that includes 720 square meters of retail space and 3,600 square meters of office space just opposite the famous beer brewery and all other sightseeing attractions.
Pilsen's attractions, include: the world's only brewery museum preserved in an original medieval house; the Great Synagogue which was built in 1982 and is the third largest in the world after Jerusalem and Budapest; the tallest church spire in the Czech Republic; the historic underground beer transportation system dating back to the 13th century where tunnels, vaults and galleries make it one of the largest underground labyrinths in Europe; and the only zoo in the Czech Republic that operates both a zoological park and botany garden. The city is also home to Pilsner Urquell beer – the world most famous beer, the engineering works of Skoda Holiday and the University of West Bohemia.
For dining and entertainment, the Pils'n'Grill Restaurant, specializing in local Czech as well as international cuisine, serves three meals daily. The Pils'n'Grill Bar is the spot in town with its stylish, fancy interior, offering a wide variety of Czech beers and local spirits like locally made Absinthe.
Guest amenities include a rooftop, state-of-the-art fitness center with a wonderful view of town. Business services include an internet corner in the lobby, high-speed internet and Wi-Fi access and a business center operated at the front desk.
