Due to open next month, Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono, Pa, will use Agilysys Lodging Management System (LMS) to automate hotel operations and expedite check-in and check-out. The resort will also utilize the Materials Management System (MMS) to streamline the procurement process, and to manage customer transactions quickly and easily and Mount Airy will also employ the InfoGenesis Point-of-Sale (POS) by Agilysys.

The additional modules which will be utilized include:

•   LMS ARTS: Activities reservation and ticketing module that manages a property's diverse venues, such as concert seating, limousine service and restaurant reservations.
•   LMS Guest Express: Self-service kiosk that eliminates lines at the front desk and offers hotel guests the convenience of speedy check-in and check-out.
•   LMS ResNet: Web-based real-time reservation system that allows online shoppers to check room rates and availability and book servations directly into the LMS property management system.
•   MMS Bar Coding: Inventory-scanning module that uses the system SKU or UPC code on each item to streamline inventory management.
•   MMS Retail: Retail automation module that calculates and maintains sales prices, markdowns and updates; improves ordering accuracy; and reduces revenue loss.

 LMS is an integrated property management software solution that will automate every aspect of Mount Airy Casino Resort's operations - from reservations and credit card processing to accounting and housekeeping. Its versatile foundation expands to incorporate modules for activities scheduling, attraction ticketing, itinerary planning, sales and catering, spa scheduling and more.

The MMS solution, with specific functionality geared to the hospitality industry, will allow the hotel to obtain the best prices for goods and services, free up working capital by reducing the amount of inventory the property must carry and maximize buying power by aggregating the purchasing of all departments.

Mount Airy Casino Resort is scheduled to open during the fall of 2007. Phase I will include 188 guest rooms and suites; a 68,000-square-foot gaming area; four restaurants; an entertainment lounge; a full-service spa and salon; retail shops; and conference space. Phase II construction will include an expanded casino, an additional 212 hotel rooms and suites and an indoor pool. An 18-hole golf course is already in operation. The resort will be the centerpiece of an 890-acre site that features a 27-acre lake and more than 500 acres of preserved green space.
