An apple a day could mean your iPhone's on the way -

Next week, lobbies of Omni Hotels will become "appleized," as one consumer per participating hotel - and one consumer via a separate online sweepstakes will take home the Apple iPhone. 

Eligible consumers and Omni guests will be encouraged to enjoy complimentary apples and "apple-icious" drinks in Omni lobbies across the country and register for a chance to win one of Apple's new revolutionary iPhones.  Entry forms will be available starting Monday, July 23 in participating hotels lobbies.  Consumers can also visit their website for a chance to win an iPhone in a separate online sweepstakes. 

The winner of each hotel's sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing at or around 7 p.m. local time on Wednesday, July 25 at each participating Omni property, and the winner of the online sweepstakes will be selected on or about the same date.

"The excitement around the new Apple iPhone continues to increase, and we are pleased to be able to offer consumers and guests a chance to own this new technology," said Mike Deitemeyer, president of Omni Hotels.  "This is another way to thank our customers and a means to continue creating memorable experiences for each person who walks through the doors of our hotels."

The giveaway date was selected to coincide with Omni Hotels' Sensational Wednesdays program which debuted in November 2006.  The program shows appreciation to Omni's Select Guest loyalty program members with unique, unexpected indulgences delivered to their guest room alongside their complimentary morning beverage service.  Each gift is specially selected to appeal to one of the five senses. 

Entries will be accepted at all participating Omni Hotels in the U.S. from 8 a.m. local time on Monday, July 23 until 6:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday, July 25.  A winner will be drawn by the hotel's general manager at 7 p.m. local time on July 25. 

Entries will also be accepted during the same time period at www.omnihotels.com/appleaday, and a winner from all eligible online entries will be selected at 7 p.m. CT on July 25.  All prizes will be distributed at the time of drawing if the winner is present or mailed to the winner's home within 24 hours of verification of the winner's eligibility.  Service plans for the iPhones are not included.
