Marriott has opened its second hotel (209 rooms) in Mexico under a franchise agreement with Turismo Tijuana.
Marriott currently operates one hotel in Tijuana, the Residence Inn by Marriott Tijuana Real del Mar -
The general manager is Alfredo Aguilar, the director of marketing is Martha Dominguez. For travelers visiting Tijuana, the Tijuana Marriott Hotel is offering a special introductory rate of $145.00USD per night plus all applicable taxes.
"We are delighted by the continued expansion of our Marriott hotel brand in Mexico," said Alex Stadlin, area vice president for Marriott in Mexico. "We are confident that this hotel will be a welcomed addition for both business and leisure travelers visiting Tijuana."
The hotel, which recently underwent extensive renovations, is conveniently located in the Colonia Aviacion district of Tijuana, near Zona Rio, the city's bustling financial and business district.
For dining and entertainment, the hotel offers Condimento restaurant, specializing in local Mexican cuisine and serving three meals daily. The hotel also features Arkas, a specialty martini and tapas bar, and a lobby lounge.
For conferences and social events, the Tijuana Marriott Hotel has 14 meeting rooms offering 1,364 square meters of total meeting space. High-speed Internet access (HSIA) is available in all meeting rooms, and wireless connectivity is also available in all public areas throughout the hotel.
Recreational amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool and fully equipped fitness center. Other amenities include 24-hour room service, an in-room DVD player and full-service business center.
The Tijuana Marriott Hotel, along with over 2,500 Marriott-affiliated hotels worldwide, participates in Marriott Rewards, the guest reward program that allows members to earn their choice of points or airline miles for every dollar spent during each stay.
