Will give added benefits for customers of both companies.

Asiana Airlines, represented by President Regional Headquarters China - Kim Hyoung Gyun, and Kempinski Hotels, represented by Senior Vice President China - René Schmitt, held a signing ceremony at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center to begin collaboration in China.

Effective 1 May 2007, Asiana Airlines passengers who stay at one of the eight participating Kempinski Hotels in China will be able to earn 500 miles per stay.

The cooperation between the two companies, both with a reputation of offering attentive, high quality service, is expected to create synergies that will result in greater customer satisfaction and improved profitability. Asiana Airlines, which has been actively promoting its mileage programme in recent years due to customers' growing interest and participation in mileage programmes, has been building customer loyalty by offering greater opportunities for members to accumulate miles. Similarly, Kempinski Hotels is hoping to tap into the lucrative Korea-China business travel market by participating in Asiana's mileage programme.

Entering China in 1992 with its flagship hotel, the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center, Kempinski Hotels currently offers luxury accommodation in nine 5-star properties in major Chinese cities and resort destinations. With another nine Kempinski properties currently scheduled to open in Hohhot, Huizhou, Qingdao, Shanghai (2), Tianjin, Wuxi X'ian and Yinchuan between now and end 2010, Kempinski is already one of the major players in the important Chinese market with an impressive portfolio in key destinations.

Asiana Airlines has been the market leader in air travel between Korea and China since beginning service to China. It began flying to China in 1994, and currently it operates 161 flights weekly on 26 routes to 20 cities throughout China, servicing 1.95 million passengers per year. The Airline has 20 offices in China and its coverage extends from China's major cities to mid-sized and small cities throughout the Country.

Founded in 1988, Asiana Airlines has grown rapidly to become a well established global airline flying 470 weekly flights on 74 routes to 62 cities in 17 countries. In 2006, Asiana transported 13 million passengers and 670,000 tons of cargo. Asiana, a Star Alliance member carrier, is renowned for its high quality service and has received many awards such as the Best Flight Attendants and the Best In-Flight Service awards by various aviation and travel magazines. It also received a Mercury Award by the International Travel Catering Association.

Dedicated not only to serving passengers but also to contributing to society, Asiana Airlines joined UNICEF's "Cabin Collecting Change" campaign in 1994 and has collected over USD 3.23 million to help those in need.
