Opening of the Radisson Marseille.
Tuesday, 13th March 2007
Source : The Rezidor Hotel Group
The hotel is located in the heart of the lively quarter Vieux Port (Old Harbour), next door to the La Criée National Theater and close to the Opera – the first class property features 189 rooms.

It increases the total number of new Rezidor-rooms opened in 2007 to 2.291. Between 2007 and 2009, Rezidor will add 20.000 rooms to its portfolio.

The hotel is part of Radisson's "new breed" generation – with a modern and contemporary design reflecting a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere and the flair of the harbour. It comprises two buildings ("Vieux Port" and "Citadelle") with 189 rooms and suites in the distinct styles Provencal and African, with state-of-the-art technology such as flatscreen TV and free highspeed Internet access.

The chic restaurant "Solaris" shows a modern Le Corbusier spirit; the young Executive Chef Jérôme Martens serves refined Mediterranean menus inspired by Spain, Morocco, Italy and Greece. The café "Terracotta" is a cosmopolitan brasserie, and the lounge bar "Scirocco" tempts with tapas, drinks and music.

Guests at the Radisson SAS Marseille benefit as well from an outdoor pool with fabulous views, a modern gym and a solarium. For those staying in the French city for business reasons, the hotel offers 11 meeting rooms spread over 672 square meters.
