As part of its strategy of dynamic growth in the Gulf region Moevenpick announces the opening of a second establishment, in Qatar in mid-December. The 5-star city property Mövenpick Tower & Suites Doha offers 350 modern rooms on 26 floors and is aimed first and foremost at business travellers. The unique concept combines the very latest technology with the traditional values of Swiss hospitality.
The futuristic building is in a prime location, directly at the entrance to the prestigious West Bay Area, a booming trade district, only 15 minutes drive from Doha International Airport.
350 spacious rooms including 40 suites offer contemporary design and first-class comfort. Besides an LCD TV and 24-hour room service the rooms dispose on a fully equipped kitchenette, ideal for long-term stays. All the rooms are linked to an interactive telecommunication system (Internet Protocol Network). This allows guests to retrieve a wealth of information and directly access hotel services including wake-up calls, concierge service, express check-out and video on demand.
The conference and banquet facilities are situated on the second floor. Four meeting rooms with natural daylight, including "Zurich", a 220 sqm multi-purpose hall, and a business centre, are equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology. Public Wireless LAN is available to guests here and everywhere else on the premises.
The Mövenpick Tower & Suites Doha features a particularly innovative food & beverage concept with four themed restaurants. "Animato", the main restaurant, offers international buffets in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening as well as ā la carte dishes. "Wok Mee" is a fashionable restaurant on the ground floor with seating indoor and out, serving Asian specialities mainly creative noodle dishes. "Lime Café" is adjacent the hotel's lobby, where guests can enjoy refreshing drinks, snacks and trademark Mövenpick products. For breathtaking views of the city and the waters of the Arabian Gulf the "Bay View 26" on the top floor is the place to be and savour Mediterranean and Lebanese specialities from the grill.
The leisure and relaxation facilities afford the same panoramic views: an indoor swimming pool, a health and wellness centre, four massage rooms, a beauty salon and a games room for children are all at guests' disposal.
