The Swiss hotel chain has just signed a contract for two new hotels, while the Moevenpick Suites & Spa Istanbul is to be Moevenpick's second hotel in the bustling metropolis Istanbul, the first Moevenpick Resort within Turkey is to be completed in Bodrum.
"Given the success we've enjoyed since February 2003 with the existing Moevenpick Hotel Istanbul, we're delighted to be launching two new hotel projects with Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts," explains Adnan Cebi, Vice Chairman & CEO of Mak-Yol. "We are in no doubt that the Moevenpick philosophy will delight the guests at the two new hotels, too."
The Mövenpick Suites & Spa Istanbul is to be completed in Istanbul's Etiler district, a prime residential and business area, by mid-2008. The five-star hotel, part of a multipurpose complex, will offer 102 spacious suites consisting of one- and two-bedroom apartments, aimed at long-stay corporate customers. Trademark Moevenpick cuisine and delicacies will be served in the main restaurant, the lounge and the bar; guests will also be able to rest and relax at the spacious and luxurious spa and leisure centre with its indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Three meeting rooms and a fully equipped business centre will be available for banquets and conferences.
"The Moevenpick Suites & Spa Istanbul will ideally complement our existing hotel in Istanbul and generate additional synergies," says Frank Reichenbach, General Manager Moevenpick Hotel Istanbul and Regional Manager for Turkey. "The Etiler and Levent districts are only a stone's throw apart, making the offer even more attractive for our guests."
By June 2007 the Moevenpick Resort Bodrum on its hilltop location will become a five-star boutique resort styled in a hip Mediterranean design offering 91 comfortable rooms and suites, and boasting breathtaking views of Gümbet Bay and the Aegean Sea. The town centre is a 10 minutes drive by car, with Milas-Bodrum Airport is only 30 minutes away. The spa and leisure facilities will include swimming pools, a fitness centre, a hammam, a sauna and massage booths. Guests will be able to savour international and Turkish specialities at the restaurant, with refreshing drinks and snacks available from the bar. The facilities are rounded off by three conference rooms and a business centre.
"With these two new hotels our portfolio within Turkey will be expanded to four establishments," adds Stefan Flury, Senior Vice President Europe Moevenpick Hotels & Resorts. "The new Mövenpick Hotel Izmir is scheduled to open in the first half of 2007. And so we're very much looking forward to the new challenges that lie ahead in Turkey." |
