Two destination marketing experts will share their views on how to build destination dashboards for the future, at Wired Travel Asia, the region's leading travel distribution and marketing event.

Roger Carter, managing director of TEAM Tourism Consulting, will address the changing role of destination marketing organizations in the age of Web 2.0.

"I will be looking at ways in which they can add value in general and on the Web," said Carter.

The London-based expert will also talk about the concept of destination platforms to serve multiple customer groups, including tourism businesses, and share an e-marketing survival kit for destinations.

Mr Carter will share the stage with Mr Charles Kao, CEO, Tourism Ventures 21, who will touch on the different market segments for destinations and destination types whether small, large, rural or urban as well as address the type of online content customers are after.

"I will look at what's out there now; what resources and technology are needed to create the content and faciliate their access; who has it right or who is getting close or off the mark," said Mr Kao, who is also publisher of Travelmole, the online community for the travel and tourism industry.

In its second year, Wired Travel Asia is being held in Singapore from October 26-27.

Wired Travel Asia sponsors and exhibitors include: Abacus International, Akamai Technologies, Amadeus Asia, EzRez, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc, Pegasus Solutions, Reality Digital, Singapore Tourism Board, TravelCLICK, Travelport and WORLDHOTELS.

Bookings can be made through www.wiredasia.biz
