The Thailand-Cambodia conflict shows no sign of abating, with almost one million displaced on both sides of the border and the Thai army now calling their attacks a 'war against the scam army'.

An ASEAN Foreign Ministers meeting is scheduled for Mon 22 Dec, but the main influencers in this conflict will be China and the United States.

Vietnam's international arrivals crosses the 20 mil milestone for the first time in its history; Singapore records 15.6 mil int'l visitors from Jan-Nov, +3% YoY; Indonesia records 12.8 mil int'l arrivals from Jan-Oct 2025, +11% YoY. Malaysia's domestic tourism from Jan-Sep 2025 is +12% YoY, at 216 million.

2024/ 2025 International Arrivals

The region looks forward to the year-end holidays, with the Singapore-Malaysia land border forecast to see heavy traffic, Indonesia over 5 mil air passengers, Malaysia up to 2.6 million vehicles per day, and Phuket expects 60k-80k international tourists daily, its best result in 5 years.
