Intense flooding continues across Central Vietnam, with deaths rising to 90 as of 23 November Southern Thailand also experiences rising floodwaters across 10 provinces.

With 1.5 mil people impacted, many southbound train and bus services suspended, and 4k Malaysian tourists reported to be stranded.

Bali's governor announces moves to prevent foreign investment capitalising on local businesses, aiming to ensure only those with "cultural respect" are able to build business on the island. Draft provincial regulation has also been submitted to ensure public access to Bali's beaches, amid concerns that it is being limited by commercial developments.

Whilst not strictly Southeast Asian travel industry-related news, the move from China to discourage its citizens to visit Japan could well see an opportunity for the region, particularly to Thailand in light of the Thai Royal visit to China, and Japanese Princess Aiko's visit to Laos.
