Hotel Branded Residences – Hype or the New Normal?
Wednesday, 19th November 2025
Source : HVS

HVS, Bird & Bird, AlixPartners and EP Business in Hospitality are delighted to present our next webinar which will be held on Wednesday 26 November.

Hotel developments are now increasingly featuring a residential component in order to make them financially viable and many leading hotel brands have developed successful residential extensions to their hotel operations – and sometimes wholly separate from an adjacent hotel.

Aligning residences with a hotel brand can enable a developer to sell apartments at a premium price and it isn’t only at the most luxurious end of the scale where such a relationship can help deliver higher returns.

Our webinar will feature a presentation by Chris Graham, founder and managing director of Graham Associates, a leading specialist in international luxury residential real estate, who will set the scene and develop our understanding of the sector.

Simon Price, a partner of Bird & Bird, will then highlight some of the key legal aspects which need to be taken into account.

A lively panel session will then follow, to be moderated by Karen Friebe, head of hotels at Bird & Bird, featuring a number of sector experts:

  • Cedar Capital Partners - Ina Plunien
  • Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts - James Price
  • Marriott International - Jaidev Menezes
  • OakNorth - Deepesh Thakrar
  • STR - Aoife Roche

We look forward to the pleasure of your company.

  • Russell Kett, Chairman – HVS
  • Karen Friebe, Head of Hotels, Hospitality and Leisure – Bird & Bird
  • Graeme Smith, Managing Director– AlixPartners
  • Chris Sheppardson, CEO – EP Business in Hospitality
