Buddha-Bar to launch its first hotel and floating residences on Dubai’s World Islands by 2027, blending Far Eastern luxury with coastal living.

The iconic lifestyle brand Buddha-Bar is set to make its Middle East hospitality debut with the Buddha-Bar Hotel and Floating Residences on Dubai’s World Islands, bringing its globally celebrated fusion of music, design, and gastronomy to one of the emirate’s most exclusive destinations.

Valued at $816 million (AED 3 billion), the ultra-luxury project will include a 162-room hotel, an entire floor of branded residences, 24 floating villas, and the region’s first Buddha-Bar Beach, offering an experience that blends Far Eastern influences with the bohemian spirit of Dubai’s coastal lifestyle. The destination is scheduled to open in 2027.

A New Chapter for the Buddha-Bar Brand

Founded in Paris, Buddha-Bar Group has long been synonymous with multi-sensory hospitality, combining ambient music, Pacific Rim cuisine, and distinctive design. The Dubai project marks a new era for the brand — transitioning from land to sea and from nightlife to lifestyle, introducing its first-ever hotel and floating residences concept.

“Music, mood, and design have always defined the Buddha-Bar DNA,” the company stated. “In Dubai, we’re extending that philosophy into a world where every detail - from the architecture to the curated soundscape - invites guests to relax, connect, and immerse in the beauty of the surroundings.”

Branded Residences and Floating Villas

Occupying a full floor of the hotel, Buddha-Bar Residences will reinterpret the brand’s Asian-inspired aesthetic through deep reds, gold accents, and natural textures. Each home will reflect the brand’s signature “barefoot luxury,” merging calm, culture, and creativity.

Adjacent to the hotel, 24 Floating Residences will elevate coastal living with three levels of private space — including an underwater suite surrounded by coral gardens, a sea-level lounge with panoramic windows, and a rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi and dining area. Optional Bentley Home furnishings, rich woods, and artisanal materials complete the serene, oceanfront retreat.

Buddha-Bar Beach: From Sunrise to After Dark

At the heart of the destination will be Buddha-Bar Beach, where the brand’s signature “chill-out” energy will flow from sunrise yoga and brunches to sunset cocktails and world-class DJ performances. The beachfront zone will feature infinity pools, cabanas, sunken lounges, and event spaces, creating a seamless day-to-night social experience.

Guests will also have access to a bespoke spa, offering a blend of traditional Eastern wellness rituals and modern treatments.

A Landmark for Dubai’s World Islands

Set across Dubai’s manmade World Islands archipelago, which features 260 islands shaped to resemble a world map — the Buddha-Bar development joins a select group of luxury projects redefining the area’s hospitality scene, alongside resorts like Anantara The World Islands.

The World Islands cover 232 kilometres of shoreline, grouped into seven continental clusters, with only a few islands under active development. The Buddha-Bar project will add a new layer of prestige to the destination, introducing one of the world’s most recognized lifestyle brands to Dubai’s evolving luxury landscape.
