Marriott announced the signing of an agreement for a JW Marriott hotel in Uzbekistan in collaboration with Alliance Holding LLC, a leading developer in the market.

Anticipated to mark the debut of the brand in the country, JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent is planned to open by the end of 2025 offering the brand’s signature hospitality experiences focused on well-being, genuine service, and an elegant, nature-inspired design. The hotel will be situated within Tashkent City Mall– a landmark development featuring the largest shopping complex in Uzbekistan.

Ivica Čačić, Senior Vice President, Development CEE and DACH at Marriott International commented, “The signing of JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent underscores the strong growth potential of the luxury hospitality segment in Central Asia. Tashkent is rapidly emerging as a sought-after destination for both leisure and business travelers. We are proud to support this momentum by bringing the JW Marriott brand to Uzbekistan — offering the brand’s signature service, design, and holistic well-being experiences.”

Uzbekistan is increasingly recognized as a destination for both tourism and foreign investment. Strategically located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, the country offers a unique blend of rich cultural heritage and modern development. In recent years, the government has implemented economic reforms aimed at enhancing business, attracting international capital, and accelerating growth in key sectors such as infrastructure, hospitality, and services. The country’s historic Silk Road cities and cultural landmarks are also drawing a growing number of international visitors. Tashkent, as the capital, is fast becoming a regional hub for commerce, connectivity, and culture.

JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent is anticipated to offer a refined luxury experience with 287 elegantly designed rooms and suites. Plans for the hotel include multiple dining experiences, a wellness center, Spa by JW, an Executive Lounge, the brand’s signature JW Garden, and modern conference and event facilities. The hotel aims to bring the philosophy of the JW Marriott brand to the market, offering a peaceful sanctuary where every detail is thoughtfully designed to allow guests to focus on being present in the mind, body, and spirit.

Marriott’s current operating portfolio in Uzbekistan includes the Courtyard by Marriott Tashkent. With the highly anticipated JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent, the company is poised to further elevate its presence in the country.
