Today, Hyatt Resorts announces the launch of "HyaTTeen Suite 16", a new program offering teens the ultimate Sweet 16 sleepover party at participating Hyatt Resorts in the continental U.S., Hawaii and the Caribbean.
Recognizing a trend toward unique "coming of age" parties that mark celebratory milestones, this new package empowers teens - a new market focus for Hyatt Resorts -- to assert their independence and celebrate their birthdays by indulging in a range of fun activities -- from chocolate manicures to surfing lessons -- with their best friends.
"The teen market is significant for Hyatt Resorts, and we understand they want unique travel experiences that are tailored with their preferences in mind," said Jeff Flater, Assistant Vice President of Hyatt Resorts. "While we have mastered catering to kids ages 3-8 with Camp Hyatt and saw a real opportunity to cater to teens who have enjoyed our unique destinations for years."
Standard Suite 16 Package Includes:
- Birthday Concierge consultation
- One nights luxurious accommodations in a two-bedroom suite, for up to 2 adults and 6 guests under the age of 18
- Limo transportation provided, to and from the resort, for up to a 30 mile distance
- One plush Kashmere Spa Robe for the birthday teen
- Use of a digital camera while at the hotel and commemorative picture frame for birthday teen to take home
- Dinner for eight catered by in-room dining
- Special birthday dessert
- Bowls of popcorn and candy
- Movie night in room via On Command
- Use of Cranium(R) games in room
- Continental breakfast for eight served by in-room dining morning of departure

The Birthday Concierge can coordinate supplementary activities such as chocolate kiss manicure/pedicures or action-oriented activities like surfing lessons at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa and a personalized Jet Ski tour at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. These enhancements vary by resort and are available at an additional cost.
To inaugurate this new program, Andrea Bowen, who plays "Julie" on the hit television series Desperate Housewives, was the first to experience a HyaTTeen Suite 16 slumber party at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach.
"I wanted to do something fun, and different for my birthday," said Bowen. "Since I spend so much time on the set, having a weekend away with my friends was the perfect way to celebrate. From hanging out on the beach getting chocolate kiss manis and pedis to hanging ten during our surf lessons, my mini-vacation with my girlfriends was the ultimate way to spend my Sweet Sixteen."
