Meliá Hotels International and Grupo Pryconsa have announced the future opening of the INNSiDE Madrid Valdebebas Hotel, destined to become the leading hotel in this flourishing residential area in the north of Madrid.
It is also expected to become a popular hotel among the users of Madrid Airport, through which more than 60 million passengers pass in a normal year.
The project has a prime location between the Valdebebas development and the airport area, with which it will be connected through the spectacular "Puente de la Concordia", which is due to be inaugurated shortly. It will be only 10 minutes from the Plaza de Castilla and 5 minutes from the IFEMA exhibition centre, with easy access by road, and alongside the most luxurious new developments in Madrid and the Real Madrid Sports City.
The development is promoted by Saint Croix HI, the REIT of Grupo Pryconsa, with the latter acting as project manager during the construction process.
With 273 rooms and a very modern design, the future INNSiDE Madrid Valdebebas will be a perfect example of the INNSiDE by Meliá brand, a collection of lifestyle hotels in which the latest architecture and design combine to perfection with the comfort and functionality sought by modern travellers in both city and resort destinations. This versatility has made INNSiDE the company's fastest-growing brand worldwide, with 38 hotels currently in operation and a further 8 under construction or preparing to open in a total of 18 countries.
The most recently opened INNSiDE hotels include the Innside Madrid Gran Via in Madrid (also together with the Grupo Pryconsa), and in Europe, the INNSiDE Liverpool, INNSiDE Newcastle, INNSiDE Luxembourg, INNSiDE Amsterdam, INNSiDE Milan, INNSiDE Paris Charles de Gaulle and the impressive INNSiDE Frankfurt.
The brand is also present in other destinations around the world such as New York, and over the coming years expects to continue growing with openings in Europe, America and Asia. In Asia the company already operates 3 hotels under the brand in Indonesia, China and Vietnam, and at the end of the year will open the INNSiDE Bangkok Sukhumvit.
The brand is growing all around the world thanks to the personalised and efficient service it provides, and a welcoming yet avant-garde environment, both in resort and city hotels. The hotel will offer all the attributes required by "bleisure" travellers who combine business trips with leisure and lifestyle experiences.
Facilities will include a gym, bar and restaurant, as well as a 405m2 rooftop area with a fantastic lounge and swimming pool, as well as an adjoining area for a Convention Centre and multi-purpose events venue measuring more than 4,500 m2. In addition to the potential generated by its proximity to the airport and IFEMA, Saint Croix plans to build a modern, private hospital on the site next to the hotel, which will also create synergies with its services and users.
For Gabriel Escarrer, Executive Vice President and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, “Innside Madrid Valdebebas will be a milestone in the lifestyle hotel segment in a very urban setting. Its disruptive design, unbeatable location and personalised and intelligent service will add to the value our brand brings to the property thanks to our operational excellence, service vocation and leadership in sales and digital distribution, creating a unique product with excellent prospects. That's why we are particularly proud to be involved in this significant project for the city of Madrid, and also proud to have the confidence of a leader in urban development in Spain such as Pryconsa, with which we hope to carry out new operations in the future".
For Marco Colomer, CEO of the REIT Saint Croix HI of the Grupo Pryconsa, “the partnership with Meliá in this fantastic hotel will allow us to provide Valdebebas with essential facilities of the highest level, accompanied by all the guarantees of a leader in the hotel industry that shares our values and the experience of the Grupo Pryconsa, with more than 56 years of history and a real-estate leader in the Madrid area. This residential area involves the development of commercial premises and offices and may reach up to half a million inhabitants, which together with the traffic generated by the airport and IFEMA, make our vision of creating an avant-garde hotel and modern hospital together with the best partners in both industries a guaranteed success".
