Designed to deliver unforgettable memories in a gallery-inspired setting where nature is the highlight, Hyatt Regency Koh Samui offers timeless connections and energizing experiences.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Koh Samui, the first Hyatt hotel on Thailand’s southern resort island. Located in the vibrant area of North Chaweng, eight minutes from the airport, the 140-room resort is built around more than 600 protected Yang Na and coconut trees, offering guests a private retreat nestled within the lush embrace of nature, with direct access to a semi-private beach.

“We are excited to debut Hyatt Regency Koh Samui and invite guests to experience our picturesque retreat and the warmth of Thai hospitality where they can relax and recharge amid this blissful scenery,” said Adrian Pulido, general manager, Hyatt Regency Koh Samui. “Our resort has been thoughtfully designed to offer distinctive accommodation, culture-infused programs and inspired seasonal menus so that our guests can discover timeless connections and celebrate any occasion with us.”

Journey of Discovery

The resort’s simple yet captivating spaces by celebrated architect Smith Obayawat of The Office of Bangkok Architects, Pongthep Sagulku of August Design, and Wannaporn Phornprapha of landscape studio, P Landscape, showcases the beauty of the coastal landscape, the forest of protected trees and the ocean. Picture-perfect moments await as guests take in the lush nature and local culture through the Gallery of Eight – eight photogenic spots dotted around the resort, inspired by the island’s idyllic lifestyle and unique landmarks.

The long dramatic lobby illuminated with skylights guides the eye to a perfectly framed and breathtaking ocean view, immersing visitors in this charming tropical getaway. Beyond the lobby, guests can stroll through a valley of tropical flora and fauna, pick fresh ingredients in the organic garden for a cooking class, experience a taste of the local fishermen’s lifestyle, and capture the stunning sunrise or sunset from elevated viewpoints.

Ocean-inspired Comfort

A private sanctuary awaits at Hyatt Regency Koh Samui with 140 comfortable guestrooms, including 24 spacious suites and villas, all with private balconies and most offering stunning sea views. Select rooms include access to Regency Club privileges, while seven beachfront pool villas provide the ultimate indulgence. The modern simplicity of the interior design, in a neutral palette with artisanal ocean-inspired décor and refreshing blue accents, transforms each space into a restful haven.

Vibrant Dining Options

Guests can satisfy their culinary cravings at the resort’s four restaurants and bars, including Yangna, an all-day dining restaurant showcasing Thai and international cuisine, and the open-air Sesun Grill & Beach Bar where diners can enjoy fresh seafood and Mediterranean sides alongside relaxing sea views. Located next to Yangna, Cobalt serves fresh juice, iced tea and coffee while Kube is the perfect place to enjoy a Thai-inspired afternoon tea or crafted cocktails accompanied by mesmerizing views from the highest point of the resort.

Recreation and Wellness

The family-friendly resort features five freeform pools – including a lap pool, plunge pool, family pool with a whirlpool and kids’ pool with a slide – which cascade to the beach. Over at Camp Hyatt, young guests can enjoy supervised play and activities from arts and crafts to movie nights.

Lush tropical plants lead down a grand staircase to the spa, a tranquil sanctuary featuring five treatment rooms, including two couple’s suites with a private deck and outdoor tub. Guests can relax and recharge with a curated menu of revitalizing treatments incorporating indigenous Thai ingredients and wellness traditions.
