Caracas is buzzing with rock 'n' roll energy as the world's newest Hard Rock Cafe, will open its doors at midnight on Thursday, May 12. Hard Rock Cafe Caracas, located in the Centro Sambil, Nivel Diversion, is Venezuela's first Hard Rock and offers its guests great American food in a rock 'n' roll atmosphere. At noon, the cafe will hold a press conference, followed by a special lunch and Hard Rock-style celebration.
The 12,000-square-foot, 375-seat cafe features Hard Rock's outstanding menu, collectible merchandise and world-famous memorabilia collection, including items representing contemporary stars such as U2 and Lenny Kravitz as well as items from rock legends including Elvis Presley and the Beatles.
"Establishing itself as a cosmopolitan city, Caracas offers its guests a bustling nightlife and abundance of cultural opportunities," said Hamish Dodds, president and CEO of Hard Rock International. "We are thrilled to bring the first Hard Rock to Venezuela's capital city."
In addition to the memorabilia, Hard Rock Cafe Caracas features a stage that will keep guests rocking with regular live music entertainment. The cafe also accommodates corporate events, private parties and other rental opportunities.
Other notable pieces of memorabilia on display at Hard Rock Cafe Caracas include Eric Clapton's silk jacket, Stings raincoat and Madonna's kiss panties. A nod to Latin America's rich musical history, Gloria Estefan's sequined dress and a giant poster of rock legend Carlos Santana performing in concert are also included.
Additionally on May 26, Hard Rock Cafe Caracas will host its grand-opening party, featuring local musicians, celebrities and the media. At the celebration, an acoustic guitar will be ceremonially smashed, a Hard Rock opening tradition. |
