Four new hotels, Three continents, One year: Yep, 2019 has been a big deal for citizenM, we landed in Kuala Lumpur, Amsterdam, Zurich and Boston and the schedule was our most ambitious yet, but we knocked it out of the park.

citizenM comes to the crossroads of Asia

Kuala Lumpur – a multicultural melting pot, a bustling city, and now the new home of citizenM. We opened in June 2019, giving Malaysia-bound mobile citizens of the world a new reason to love the capital. citizenM Kuala Lumpur Bukit Bintang hotel is named after the district it calls home: the epicentre of food, fashion and fun. Maximise your leisure and work time as our 210-room hotel is only 100 metres from Jalan Alor (world-famous for street food), and within walking distance from many other attractions. Summer 2019 will be remembered as the season citizenM came home after 10 years of worldwide wandering. Amsterdam is the birthplace of the brand, and now the home of our fourth Dutch hotel. Named after the famous river nearby, citizenM Amstel Amsterdam hotel has a triple-A urban location less than 10 minutes’ walk from a multitude of leisure and business destinations. You can’t miss our beautiful 88-room hotel – it’s a stylish 1920s building. And Weesperplein metro station is just a few steps away, connecting you to all of Amsterdam.

Switzerland, say hello to affordable luxury 

That’s right, we have gone Swiss. citizenM Zurich hotel is our third opening in 2019 and our first in Switzerland – with a second location in Geneva coming in 2020. We’re all about securing a five-star location, and boy did we! You’ll find us at Talacker 42, a building in District 1, on the edge of Old Town. Nearby – Paradeplatz with international business and banking headquarters, and transport connections. There’s also Bahmhoffstrasse, one of the world’s most famous and exclusive shopping avenues, and Lake Zurich just a few minutes’ walk away. Outside, the building’s beautiful heritage has been preserved. Inside, it’s a modern tech-savvy citizenM hotel with 160 rooms – Switzerland’s newest home of affordable luxury.

New England’s got a new landmark 

citizenM can’t get enough of the USA! To expand our American presence, we have opened our first hotel in Boston – a city with many sides and many loves. Stay with us and you’ll see them all, thanks to our superb location above North Station – a major transportation hub just minutes from Logan Airport. And that’s not all. Sport courses through this city’s veins, so it’s a good thing citizenM Boston North Station hotel is on top of TD Garden – New England’s largest multipurpose arena for sports, concerts and conventions.
