With a presence spanning more than 76 countries, Hard Rock International announces the continued expansion of its hotel portfolio, with the opening of Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American in April 2020 - bringing the signature Hard Rock vibe to this exciting cultural capital.

Located on the lively Leidseplein Square, Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American will be brought to life in one of the city's most famous Art Nouveau style buildings, built in 1900 and formerly known as the American Hotel. Showcasing 173 rooms and suites and newly-renovated interiors, the hotel will keep all vintage decorative features intact throughout, from stained-glass windows to vibrant paintings on the interior walls, which will also be adorned with signature Hard Rock memorabilia.

Todd Hricko, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Hotel Business Development: 'We look forward to bringing the Hard Rock vibe to this cultural capital. Amsterdam is a renowned location of entertainment, and Hard Rock is thrilled to bring a music-inspired destination to the heart of this city.'

Accommodating both business and leisure travelers, Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American will boast a number of meeting spaces totaling over 230 square-meters, as well as brand-signature amenities, such as Body Rock® fitness centre. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase t-shirts, hats and other branded apparel at the iconic Rock Shop®. The hotel will also offer The Sound of Your Stay® music amenity program, the brand's signature three-part offering, which allows guests to stream or download their choice of a rotating set of expertly curated playlists upon check-in. Reserve their choice of Fender guitars delivered in-room for impromptu jam sessions or tune in to the vinyl resurgence and experience music as it was intended to be listened to. Guests can also enjoy the one-of-a-kind Rock Om® in-room yoga program, which energises the body and soul through the power of music.

Commenting on the project, Petr Suchanek, Vice President and Head of European Hotel Business Development for Hard Rock International said,: 'We are excited to expand the Hard Rock's brand presence to this vibrant metropolitan hub. It only seems right to open a Hard Rock Hotel in Amsterdam, given the city's energetic atmosphere and multi-cultural roots.'

'I am really excited that Hard Rock Hotels will be our partner in Amsterdam'. Commented Léon Dijkstra, Owner of the site. 'The brand will add an extra dimension to the Amsterdam hotel scene. Hard Rock appeals to an audience that suits both the vision of the city and what we as an Amsterdam based hotel company like to see, namely guests from all over the world that enjoy music and appreciate luxury, excellent service and great comfort. The family run company Eden Hotels remains the owner of the American Hotel, so with this partnership we have the best of both worlds.'

The hotel will also be home to the extraordinary Art Deco Café Americain, taking up residence in a National Heritage site. The respected Café Americain holds great historical value and will become a hotspot for guests, tourists and locals alike to enjoy a delicious American breakfast, lunch or dinner under its iconic arched roof. Guests may also indulge in a drink at the on-site Bar Americain. The hotel will also feature a GMT + 1 lobby lounge serving craft cocktails and expertly brewed artisan coffees.

Surrounding the hotel is a plethora of local cafes, restaurants, theaters and bars. Guests can also explore some of Amsterdam's most prominent museums, including the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh museum, all within walking distance.
