Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun is set to celebrate its official opening on December 5, 2017, becoming the first international hotel brand to set anchor in the Tuen Mun area of the New Territories.

Conveniently located just a three-minute walk from the subway station, Tuen Mun MTR - West Rail Terminal Station, pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun held its soft opening in July of this year.

As the latest addition to the pentahotels portfolio, the property is the second member in Hong Kong since its successful 2013 launch of pentahotel Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the fourth in Asia, joining Beijing and Shanghai.

Standing 16 floors tall, the former industrial high-rise building has been completely renovated into a trendy 298-room hotel sporting the signature “penta” design throughout, with a contemporary rustic decor that seamlessly blends with whimsical local cultural references. With comfortable guestrooms up to 35 square metres, pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun combines features of modern technology and uncomplicated services for stylish, independent-minded business and leisure travelers. The result is a mix of fun with functionality, comfort with creativity, and style with simplicity.

At the heart of the hotel is pentalounge, the go-to venue in the building, and a signature feature of pentahotels worldwide. The 24/7 social hub transforms from a laidback lounge during the day to an speakeasy bar at night, the perfect spot to kick back and mingle in style anytime during the day.

A single venue combining lobby, reception area and bar, pentalounge has everthing to satisfy one’s tastebuds and inner child with local Hong Kong delicacies, international comfort foods, Sony PlayStation 4, pool table and more.

Offering ready access to seafood markets, heritage sites and Buddhist monasteries, the hotel is located next to various shopping and leisure attractions including five inter-connected shopping malls, with popular eateries of the district right around the corner.

With a comfortable and stylish “home-base” to energise and recharge, guests can comfortably enjoy the unique alternative to Hong Kong’s urban landscape and explore scenic beach and beautiful hiking and biking trails, all within short distance from the hotel. Tai Lam Country Park, Hong Kong’s second largest country park, is also located nearby, with Tai Lam Chung Reservoir located at the very heart of the park. The hotel offers airport and citywide transfer services, so that guests are able to take advantage of the hotel’s convenient location with quick and easy access to Macau, Shenzhen Bay and Hong Kong International Airport.

The grand party on December 5 will feature celebrities and socialites from Hong Kong, and will feature performances by top local talents including JW, Kelvin Kwan and DJ Sesco. The event, defined by pentahotels’ motto ‘We Don’t Do Normal’, is set to be an exuding and electrifying evening.

"Pentahotels’ trendsetting concept has proven its appeal to contemporary travellers in six European countries and in Greater China. We deliver the brilliant basics without anyone having to pay an arm and a leg for just a great experience!” says Eugène Staal, President of pentahotels. “Now, with a top-to-bottom renovation of an industrial building to penta style in such a vibrant area in Hong Kong, we are excited to expand the innovative pentahotels experience for both local and international audiences.”
