LVMH has added yet another property to it growing luxury hotel portfolio with the acquisition of the Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France.
The hotel, located on the island of Saint Barthélemy in the French West Indies, has 39 rooms, suites and villas, and was purchased from AJ Capital Partners and others for an undisclosed sum.
The hotel will be operated by LVMH's Hotel Management division, whose portfolio includes a Cheval Blanc hotel in Courchevel and others under development in the Maldives, Oman and Paris — the latter as part of the La Samaritaine complex.
The luxury hotel business has become a luxury playing ground as more and more top players are entering in recent years, including Versace, Giorgio Armani, Missoni, Moschino and Bulgari. |
