Hilton Worldwide has announced that its management agreement with Sun Travels & Tours in relation to Hilton Maldives Iru Fushi has terminated with effect from May 3, 2013.

Accordingly, the owner of the hotel, Sun Travels & Tours Pvt. Ltd. is managing the property and this property will no longer be a part of the Hilton Worldwide portfolio or Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.

As such, the property will no longer participate in the Hilton HHonors program.
 
The cessation of Hilton Worldwide's management of that resort was unforeseen and due to factors outside its control.
 
Hilton Worldwide remains committed to the hospitality and tourism industry in Maldives and currently manages Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, an award-winning luxury resort.
