Representatives from Le Meridien hotels in Australasia, the Middle East and Europe collected a total of seven World Travel Awards at the World Travel Market in London last week.
Two resort properties both scooped worldwide and area awards: Le Meridien Limassol Spa & Resort in Cyprus won the World's Leading Spa Resort and Europe's Leading Resort Awards, and Forte Village by Le Meridien in Sardina, Italy was voted World's Leading Resort and Europe's Leading Spa Resort.
Le Meridien hotels and resorts in the Middle East were voted Middle East's Leading Hotel Group, with Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa picking up the Middle East's Leading Resort award for an individual property in the Middle East.
Representing Australasia, Le Meridien Port Vila Resort & Casino in Vanuatu was named Australasia's Leading Casino Resort.
Commenting, Joint Chairman, Juergen Bartels said: "The fact that these awards are now in their tenth year and the winners are voted for by over a million travel agents around the world, is testament to the outstanding guest experience our service oriented employees provide in our growing number of resort properties."
The World Travel Awards were set up to honour excellence and celebrate the massive achievements in all areas of the world's travel and tourism industry.
