Hyatt in 2013 is expanding mainly on the Asian market: India already is location for eight new properties which are currently under construction. Thereof five are former Ista hotels. They are located in Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Amritsar.

In China the Hyatt Regency Qingdao did open its gates in January, two properties of the subbrand Park Hyatt shall put into service later this year.

Europe is also in operation: Four yet renowned hotels in France are taken over by Hyatt, they include the Concorde Lafayette and the Hotel du Louvre in Paris, the Hotel Martinez in Canne and the Palai de la Mediterranee in Nice.
