Trip and the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) presented tourism gamechangers at ITB Berlin 2025: AI, super apps and trends such as sustainable travel and space tourism.

Trip.com Group and the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) presented future trends in tourism at ITB Berlin, including innovative technologies that will reshape and redefine the travel and tourism industry. "We are witnessing a technological revolution that will change everything we do," said Julia Simpson, President & CEO, WTTC.

Vision: Searches, bookings, sharing experiences and memories in one app

Super apps and digital innovations are fuelling the rise of all-in-one platforms for frictionless bookings, payments and beyond, said Boon Sian Chai, Managing Director and Vice President of International Markets at Trip.com Group.

Summarising, he said the following trends would dominate the future of travel: sustainable mobility, with a focus on sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), electric vehicles and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). Microtrends and niche experiences were also increasingly important travel topics.
