Art of Innovation in Hospitality Industry.
By Jerome Cedicci & Robin Trehan
Tuesday, 31st July 2007

Recognize the art of hospitality business and invest in its rejuvenation -

This is the business we understand and we need to live in continuous moments of truth about its innovation.

Innovation is an unremitting course of action and the best way to comprehend it to do raise questions concerning what is happening in the industry and come up with pioneering products and services. Bring innovation to the notion of product, price, place, promotion and people.

Ask questions, why, what, who. ‘Why' you call for to do something and where it will take you and what will come to pass if you do not take decisions now? ‘What' is than an issue when you know that you are missing something and you need to bring in novelty to the way things are being done? ‘Who' is the question, for whom you want to do this string of improvement and why?

So, the final outcome is the uniqueness of ideas which brings in value addition.

Understanding customer is the key to value capturing. A score of preferences in product and services and a sustained customer service brings in a distinctive association between the customer and the product.

A steady base of on hand customers makes it easier to augment both top and bottom line growth. Also, patrons will be more than willing to pay for an experience that is not only functionally but emotionally rewarding.

Art of innovation is in it doing, just like the taste of pudding it in its eating.
