North America:

  • Liz Martinez has joined the Daxton Hotel and its flagship restaurant Madam as the new Director of Beverage & Service. Martinez will bring new food & beverage programming to the culinary offerings of the hotel, elevating its dining experience with new wine lists and beverage pairings.
  • Matt Canning is now the Assistant General Manager at Hotel Vermont. With his new role, Matt looks forward to continuing the work of providing a safe and fulfilling work environment to all team members and a safe and inclusive experience for guests.
  • Maddison Moore has been appointed Marketing Manager at Hotel Vermont. She is responsible for implementing and executing the marketing plans for both Hotel Vermont and the restaurants Juniper and Brick, including brand marketing and managing social media channels.
  • Rachel Kucharski is the new Digital Marketing Specialist at Hotel Vermont. In this new role, Rachel will support and develop the sales team for Westport Hospitality, the management company that operates Hotel Vermont and several other Burlington-area hotels and restaurants.
  • Lal Pardhan steps in as Housekeeping Manager at Hotel Vermont. Lal was one of the first team members of the housekeeping department when the property opened in 2013. Through experience, talents, dedication and teamwork, Lal is proud to lead the team as the new Housekeeping Manager.
  • Gilded Group in partnership with Selina Chelsea, will be launching their newest food and beverage concept: HOWM Cocina & Cocktails and The Rooftop at the Selina Chelsea. The Mesoamerican restaurant celebrates dishes from the Yucatan to El Salvador down to Costa Rica. Chef Byron Peñafiel is at the helm of culinary and mixologist Daniel Bedoya in charge of drinks.
  • Katherine Woods joins the Walker Hotel Tribeca as Assistant General Manager to help lead the completion of the property with the coming food and beverage additions. Her first venture into the boutique hotel market, she joined the neighboring 11 Howard in Soho as Director of Rooms.
  • Walker Hotel Greenwich Village announced the appointment of Christoph Duerrbeck as Assistant General Manager for the brand’s flagship location. An industry veteran with over 16 years of experience, Duerrbeck has touched nearly all facets of hospitality, from event sales to food and beverage.
  • RMS North America announced that Victor Vesnaver joined the organization as Chief Operating Officer. Vesnaver will lead the company and product direction in North America, supporting its growth strategy while fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Sage Lodge, Montana has appointed Ben Jones as its Executive Chef. In his new role, Jones will create and implement the culinary vision for the property, which includes on-site restaurants The Grill at Sage Lodge and the Fireside Room, as well as meetings and events.
  • Chris Lawing has been appointed Director of Sales & Marketing at Pendry Park City, UT. He will be responsible for capturing corporate and group sales, weddings and social events, and working with the top luxury travel agencies on behalf of the resort.
  • David Silva has been appointed Hotel Manager at Pendry Park City. With over 17 years of experience, Silva will be responsible for supporting and managing day-to-day hotel operations.
  • Pendry Park City has a new Director of Spa- Jessie Valdez. She is an innovative wellness leader, board certified holistic health coach and former massage therapist that has been in the spa and wellness industry for 15 years.
  • Interstate Hotels & Resorts has named David Anderson as its new Executive Vice President – International. Anderson joins Interstate - the international division of Aimbridge Hospitality - with extensive industry experience in luxury resorts and midscale hotel portfolios throughout Europe and the UK, as well as the Indian Ocean.
  • Omni Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Spencer Cody to Corporate Director of club & golf operations. Cody originally joined Omni Hotels & Resorts in 2019 as director of golf operations at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa.
  • Omni Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Ellen McGinnis to Corporate Director of Spa. Ellen McGinnis originally joined Omni in 2012 as Spa Director at Omni Bedford Springs Resort.
  • Stanly Ranch, Auberge Resorts Collection in Napa Valley, has appointed Ed Gannon as General Manager. A seasoned hospitality professional with more than 30 years of luxury experience, Gannon will oversee all operations for the 700-acre property that is anticipated to open in early 2022.
  • The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park in El Paso, announced seasoned hospitality expert Adrian Gonzalez as its new General Manager. Gonzalez will continue to elevate the guest experience and introduce programming that celebrates the rich culture of this iconic property.
  • Jonice Gray Tucker has been appointed as Member Board of Directors at Marriott International, Inc. in Bethesda. Ms. Tucker is a highly accomplished attorney and business leader with specialized experience supporting clients in technology, banking and financial services.
  • Amanda Kaneski has been appointed Destination Sales Executive at Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel. Kaneski brings almost a decade of hotel sales experience to this new position, most recently serving as the Senior Sales Executive at the Marriott Marquis Chicago.
  • Jeff Burns has joined HP Hotels, Inc. as Chief Investment Officer. Jeff will work closely with HP Hotels' existing and prospective hotel property owners to assess their portfolios, investment opportunities, and the capital structure and market strategies for any given hotel property.
  • Jonathan Raz has been named as Hotel Manager of Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. In his new role, Raz will lead the team in all aspects of hotel operations, from marketing and hotel administration to guest services and satisfaction.
  • Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina in Kapolei, announced the appointment of Jason de Vries as Resort Manager. Jason will lead the day-to-day operations of Oahu's premier luxury resort. He will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining Four Seasons core standards to ensure all guests receive the highest level of service during their stay.
  • Marianna Accomando has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of the Seaport Hotel in Boston's Seaport District. She is responsible for leading the executive management team for all policy, operational and cultural issues, managing all sales efforts at the property, setting service standards and creating partnership opportunities in the community.
  • Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, a luxury retreat in Austin's Hill Country, is delighted to announce the appointment of Kaitlyn Giguere as Director of Resort Activities. In her new role, Giguere is responsible for designing and implementing all of the resort's guest activities, hosted events and on property programming.
  • Christopher Park has been appointed Executive Chef at Snow King Resort in Jackson. Park will be responsible for overseeing a staff of 40 associates, the daily operations of the resort's signature restaurant Haydens Post, banquet kitchen and room service, as well as food revenues and product purchasing.
  • The Hotels Network announced the appointment of Mercedes Blanco to the global role of VP of Strategic Partnerships. She will be responsible for leading the company's strategic alliances, forging strong relationships with key partners within the hospitality industry and working together with them to develop creative solutions that deliver incremental value to everyone involved.
  • Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group announces the appointment of Jamie Caraher as President and CEO. With over 25 years of hospitality experience, Jamie has demonstrated exceptional talent through her ability to drive results.
  • Ania Mankowska-Allard has been appointed Spa Director of Sense, A Rosewood Spa at Rosewood Sand Hill. She will be responsible for the oversight and development of Sense by enhancing the overall guest experience through the creation of new and innovative treatments, holistic wellness offerings and likeminded partnerships with local and artisanal brands.
  • Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel, announced the appointment of Andrew Thoms as the new Executive Chef. With over 20 years of culinary experience, Chef Andy will be responsible for overseeing all culinary initiatives at both the hotel and its newly re-imagined prohibition-inspired restaurant and rooftop bar, Rowdy Tiger Whiskey Bar & Kitchen.
  • Sheraton Dallas welcomes Dave Swift as the new Director of Sales and Marketing. Swift will be responsible for overseeing the hotel's sales and marketing departments by managing sales efforts, implementing brand initiatives and communications, and managing marketing strategies for the property.
  • Gavin Yu has been promoted to Chief Development Officer for Greater China at Marriott International Asia Pacific. A 13-year veteran of the company, Mr. Yu played a key role in establishing China's upper-midscale growth strategy, including leading China's franchise platform for Fairfield Inn and Moxy.
  • Virgin Hotels in New York is pleased to welcome Todd Orlich as the new Vice President of Operations- North America. With over 25 years of experience, Orlich will be responsible for the operational performance of Virgin Hotels Chicago, Virgin Hotels Dallas, Virgin Hotels Nashville and newly opened Virgin Hotels.
  • Michael White has been appointed as Chef at Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at The Surf Club, Lido Restaurant in Surfside, Florida. The chef behind Michelin-starred spots in New York City has become synonymous with stylised and sophisticated coastal Italian cuisine in the United States and throughout the world.
  • Camila Frederico has been appointed General Manager at La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas. Frederico has more than 20 years of experience across all facets of hospitality management and is the first female to hold the title.
  • Meyer Jabara Hotels in Danbury, has appointed Guy Reinbold as Corporate Director of Food & Beverage. Reinbold will focus on driving revenue and ancillary income for owners by maintaining cost controls, creating fresh food and beverage concepts based on market location and sourcing quality products all while complying with brand standards.
  • The Advenire, Autograph Collection in St.George, appoints Sam Walters as Chef de Cuisine at the hotel's restaurant and bar, Wood.ash.rye. As Chef de Cuisine at Wood.ash.rye, Walters will oversee the day to day operations including menu curation and execution, hotel events and room service.
  • Fairmont Dallas welcomes Michael Beck as the new Director of Operations. With over 20 years of experience, Michael will be responsible for overseeing the performance and strategic direction of all operational departments at Fairmont Dallas.
  • Steven Carl has been appointed Director of Food & Beverage at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, Texas. Carl will be responsible for the operations of each of the resort's on-site restaurants including Stories Fine Dining, Firewheel Café, Shellers Barrelhouse Bar, McDade's Coffee Emporium & Ice Cream Saloon and Old Buck's Place.
  • Peter Palli has been appointed CCO at Omni Hotels in Dallax, TX. Palli will be responsible for all revenue generating efforts across sales, marketing, revenue management, distribution, and analytics, as well as operations at the Omni customer-contact center.
  • Dream Hotel Group announced the promotion of Robert R. Mallia to Vice President of Architecture and Construction. He has been with the company for over 10 years.
  • CWT announced the appointment of Nick Vournakis as EVP and Chief Customer Officer. Nick will report to Michelle McKinney Frymire, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CWT and serve as member of the company's Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Derek Sharp has been appointed EVP and Chief Traveler Experience Officer at CWT. Derek will report to Michelle McKinney Frymire, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CWT and serve as member of the company's Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • LW Hospitality Advisors (LWHA) announced the appointment of Peter Kressaty as Chief Commercial Officer responsible for the strategy and development of the firm's service offerings and geographic footprint.

  • Anthony Franker has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at The Springhill Suites Denver at the Anschutz Medical Campus, CO. Mr. Franker brings over 15 years of hospitality experience to his new role.
  • The Ritz- Carlton Yacht Collection in Miami, FL, has appointed Kristian C. Anderson as the VP of Global Sales. With over 30 years in the travel industry, Anderson brings a wealth of experience in leading global sales teams within the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Karen Shiers has been appointed Senior Director of MICE Sale at The Ritz- Carlton Yacht Collection in Miami, FL. Shiers brings over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry and joins the team from Merlin Entertainments.
  • Sean Casserly joins the team at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole as Resort Manager, trading in city lights for rugged mountain peaks and expansive skylines. Casserly brings more than two decades of Four Seasons experience to his new role.
  • Pina Purpero has been appointed as General Manager at Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, the 700-room convention hotel, slated to open fall of 2022.
  • McKibbon Hospitality, announced the appointment of James Merrihew as Asset Manager. He will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the overall performance of 20 McKibbon-owned hotel properties, four restaurant concepts, 11 vacation rentals, as well as office buildings and parking decks, analyzing revenue and management data.
  • Joe Luck has been appointed Vice President of Development at National Hospitality Services (NHS) in Fargo.   • Hcareers announced the addition of Alison Galik to its Board of Directors. She joins the Board as Hcareers accelerates its growth strategy and investment to attract and place qualified hospitality talent across its more than 4,000 hoteliers and management clients.
  • Thompson Denver appoints Matt Ojinaga as its Director of Sales and Marketing. In this role, Ojinaga will oversee the sales team, drive revenue and manage all strategic marketing initiatives.
  • James Beard Award finalist and Michelin-starred chef Ludo Lefebvre joins Thompson Denver as the culinary visionary behind Chez Maggy—the hotel's signature restaurant.
  • Amanda Parsons brings over 20 years of hospitality experience as Area Vice President and General Manager at Thompson Denver. She has been instrumental in the upcoming debut of Thompson Hotels' first property in the Mile High City
  • Hotel 116, a 176-room property located in Bellevue, operated and managed by Coast Hotels, has announced the appointment of Ashnil Singh as its new General Manager. In his new position, Singh will be responsible for leading and managing all hotel operations.
  • Indy Dodanwala joins Kauai Beach Resort & Spa as the new General Manager, charged with overseeing sales and marketing, food and beverage, budgeting and finances, human resources and more.
  • Dan Mizrahi joins Kauai Beach Resort & Spa as the new Food & Beverage Director. Mizrahi is responsible for guiding all food and beverage planning and delivering exceptional dining experiences for guests.
  • Executive Chef Lucas Sautter joins Kauai Beach Resort & Spa with over 20 years of experience in the kitchen. In his new role, Chef Sautter will helm the resort's culinary program, ensuring that Naupaka Terrace Restaurant, Driftwood Bar, and Shutters Lounge
  • Nina Dela Fuente will serve as The Hollywood Roosevelt's new Director of Sales and Marketing. She will be responsible for sales strategies, brand communications and overall positioning.
  • Meda Serban is the new Director of Revenue Management at The Hollywood Roosevelt, and is responsible for maximizing the hotels revenue streams by growing daily rates and increasing occupancy.
  • Ed Anonas joins The Hollywood Roosevelt as the new Director of Finance. Anonas will leverage his extensive accounting and financial management experience to further the profitability of the hotel.
  • Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants announced the appointment of Emily Nichols as General Manager of the Kimpton Alton Hotel. Emily brings nearly 15 years of experience in hospitality from hotels across the country.
  • Dave Elcon has been appointed General Manager at The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Resort Collection in Los Olivos. With over 15 years of luxury hospitality experience, Dave will oversee all operations for the 6.5 acre property.
  • The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Auberge Resort Collection in Los Olivos, now has a new executive chef- Rhoda Magbitang.
  • Paul Cardona steps in as Area General Manager at Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown. Cardona brings over 20 years of hotel industry experience to the Sonesta family of hotels.
  • Fantasy Greene brings over 20 years of sales and hospitality experience to Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown as the Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Chicago.
  • JW Marriott Tampa Water Street and Tampa Marriott Water Street introduced Matthew Brennan as the complex's new Executive Chef. He will oversee the culinary efforts of the sister properties, both located adjacent to the convention center in Tampa's vibrant Water Street neighborhood.
  • Caitrin Obrien was recently named Head of ESG at Four Seasons. Previously, she oversaw Hilton's global sustainability strategy and efforts towards the company's Travel with Purpose 2030 Goals to cut environmental footprint in half and double social impact.

South America:

  • Montage Healdsburg appoints Sarah McIntosh as Resort Manager overseeing resort operations. With more than 15 years of experience at some of the finest luxury hotels throughout North America, she rejoins the Montage brand, following her time with Montage Beverly Hills.
  • Young Yoon is now the General Manager of Malibu Beach Inn. Yoon succeeds Gregory Day who in addition to his role as the property’s General Manager, has been simultaneously overseeing the operation of the parent company’s (Mani Brothers Real Estate Group) other hotel assets and development as its President of Hospitality.
  • Janet English has been appointed Director of Sales & Marketing at Malibu Beach Inn. English spent the last decade and a half as the Director of Business/Leisure Sales for ETC Hotels. She takes over for Laura Willens who had been with the property since its repositioning.
  • Jeannevie Funes has been appointed as the Director of Leisure-Reservations Sales at Malibu Beach Inn. Funes comes to the hotel from Meadwood Resort in Napa Valley where she held the role of Director of Leisure Sales.
  • Timothy Ryan has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer where he will expand his oversight of the company’s operations. Ryan boasts over 25 years of operations experience, successfully launching over 30 restaurants, hotels and international resorts and serving as a Vice President of Strategy for five years at MGM Resorts, a Fortune 100 hospitality and entertainment company.
  • Annemieke Dunlop has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Sales and Revenue. Dunlop has been with Aparium for five years and came to Aparium from Hilton where she was frequently recognized for her work in revenue management.
  • Jason Pirock was promoted to Vice President of Marketing expanding his role in overseeing integrated marketing initiatives across all Aparium properties in addition to the Aparium brand. Pirock joined Aparium in June 2019 and has been instrumental in helping several of the properties attain their award-winning status.
  • Elaine Hartline has been promoted to Director of Openings & Initiatives. Hartline joined the Aparium team serving as Director of Food & Beverage at the Hewing Hotel in Minneapolis in December of 2017 before being promoted to Director of Task Force Operations at Aparium Hotel Group.
  • Evan Sheridan was promoted to Director of F&B Operations. Having been at Aparium for over two and half years, Sheridan played a crucial part in helping develop the unique dining concepts across Aparium properties. Sheridan’s prestigious Michlin star background includes roles at Sixteen Chicago and iconic Chicago restaurant group, Boka Hospitality.
  • Thomas Lents has been promoted to Culinary Director. In his expanded role, Lents will remain Executive Chef at Apparatus Room at the Detroit Foundation Hotel. While at Sixteen, Lents earned widespread acclaim such as two Michelin stars, five-diamonds from AAA, five-stars from the Forbes Travel Guide, four-stars from Chicago Tribune, and four-stars from Chicago Magazine.
  • Max Wastler joins Aparium as Vice President of Brand overseeing the image and experience of the Aparium brand as a whole and each individual brand within the portfolio of hotels and restaurants. Wastler previously consulted on strategy and storytelling for companies such as J. Crew, Madewell, Patagonia, Lands End and Airstream.
  • Paul Finstad joins as Vice President, Acquisitions + Asset Management. In this role Finstad will be responsible for sourcing and executing acquisition opportunities on behalf of Aparium. Finstad joins Aparium after over 5 years at Watermark Lodging Trust and boasts over a decade of experience in hospitality.
  • James J. Dannecker joins the team as Director of Task Force Hotel Operations leading efforts to improve processes, services and standards across Aparium’s portfolio. Dannecker brings over a decade of experience in hospitality having most recently served as Task Force General Manager for Davidson Hospitality Group.
  • Tomasz D. Borzemski joins as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Borzemski will be responsible for leading financial and strategic planning and developing financial forecasts. With over 15 years of experience in finance and business analytics, Borzemski previously held roles at OnePoint Partners, SimpleTherapy and Lifespace Communities.
  • Nick N. Dostal joins the team as Task Force Executive Chef overseeing operations and food & beverage programming at Aparium’s dining venues including Madam, Flor Fina and Lazia. Dostal brings years of experience in the restaurant industry having most recently served as Chef at the award-winning Alinea Group and Sixteen.
  • Shel Buhler joins as the new Director of Bars & Beverage Programming at Aparium. Buhler will be responsible for bar programming and concepts. He has previously worked with Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Two Roads Hospitality, de Vivre, and at top cocktail bars including Playa Los Angeles and The Dead Rabbit in New York City.
  • Harper Counts joins the team as Corporate Director of Sales overseeing the sales teams both within the organization and across Aparium’s portfolio of properties. Prior to joining Aparium, Counts was the Director of Sales and Marketing for The Gwen, A Luxury Collection Hotel, and will lend her expertise in the luxury market to boost growth at Aparium’s award-winning luxury properties
  • Lukas Grace has been appointed General Manager of Thompson Buckhead. The hotel will be a reflection of the city’s cultural and culinary prowess, catering to the local community and visitors who want to experience the very best Atlanta has to offer.
  • Jennifer Dawood will be the Director of Sales and Marketing at Thompson Buckhead, Atlanta. With over 20 years of experience, she has held multiple sales and marketing positions with properties in Atlanta, including Omni Hotels and W Atlanta Downtown.
  • Real estate and hospitality investment industry veteran Paula Argento has joined the Board of Advisors for Luxury Hotel Advisors. She brings with her a broad range of commercial real estate experience, as well as a stellar track record in the legal field.
  • Veteran hospitality industry leader John Rovie, has been named the Director of Sales & Marketing at Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina. Rovie will supervise all sales and marketing activities for the harbor front property, developing and overseeing all sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Antoine Berberi has been appointed Senior Vice President of Operations of Graduate Hotels.

Caribbean:

  • Emmanuel Calderon has been appointed Executive Chef at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla in West End. Bringing a lifetime of culinary passion to the role, Calderon will oversee the Resort's four dining outlets, in-room dining, catering and Residential offerings.
  • Alan Orreal has been appointed Vice President of Culinary at Atlantis Paradise Island in Bahamas. A certified Master Chef with over 20 years of executive experience, Orreal is responsible for the operation of Atlantis' 40 restaurants, bars, and lounges.
  • Fanny Martin has been appointed Spa Director of Sense, A Rosewood Spa at Rosewood Le Guanahani for its November 2021 debut, following a four-year closure and extensive resort-wide renovation. Martin will lead the day-to-day operations and overall vision of Sense.

Europe:

  • Jean-Luc Naret joins The Set Collection as Executive Director & Global Brand Leader. He is a seasoned hotelier who brings with him a wealth of experience across the luxury lifestyle and hospitality sector, and will be responsible for establishing The Set Collection as the primary choice for hotel owners and investors.
  • Parry Rathod steps in as Area Manager at Hampton by Hilton hotels in York, United Kingdom. Rathod is set to utilise his significant service-focused expertise to further enhance the customer experience.
  • CWT has appointed Liza Baez as its Senior Director of Information Security in Boulogne Billancourt Cedex, France. Based in Minneapolis and reporting to Harshal Mehta, Lisa will be part of the company's Risk and Security Team.
  • Jörg T. Böckeler has been appointed as Spokesman of the Executive Board- CEO at Dorint GmbH in Koln, Germany. Before joining the Dorint Group, he worked in leading positions at the Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG), including as Regional Manager Australia in Sydney and General Manager in Düsseldorf and Berchtesgaden.
  • Bettina Schütt has been appointed as the COO at Dorint GmbH in Koln, Germany. She has been managing the Dorint Sanssouci Berlin/Potsdam for more than five years and is also Regional Director for the North area with eight other Dorint properties.
  • Alexandre Archier has been promoted to Group Senior Vice President Public Affairs at Accor in Paris, France. Archier will be responsible for Accor's public affairs in France with the various European institutions and internationally.
  • Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, Spain, has appointed Sonal Uberoi as Director of Spa. With more than ten years of experience in spa and wellness centre management, Uberoi will now be in charge of managing and overseeing business at the Spa as well as leading the strategy for the Hotel's wellness offerings alongside the rest of the team.
  • Alessio Minetto has been appointed General Manager of Oetker Collection’s latest masterpiece hotel, The Woodward, marking the brand’s arrival in Geneva.
  • Davide Occhiuzzi has been appointed Restaurant Manager at Whittlebury Park in Towcester, UK. In his new role, Davide will be responsible for the operation of Whittlebury Park's fine dining restaurant Murrays, which was recently awarded its third AA Rosette.

  • Marie Owen Thomsen has been appointed Chief Economist at the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Owens Thomsen will come from Banque Lombard Odier, where she has served as Head of Global Trends and Sustainability since 2020.

  • Jumeirah Group, Dubai, UAE, has appointed Thomas B. Meier as its Chief Operating Officer. With more than 20 years of luxury hospitality experience, Meier will play a key role in the group's goal to become one of the world's top five luxury hospitality companies.
  • The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, UAE, has appointed Igor Mitric as the Director of Wellness. With more than 15 years of international experience within luxury hotel spas and wellness centres, he will lead the redesign of the resort's spa and fitness facilities.
  • Gauderic Harang joins Anantara Sir Bani Yas Resort in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Gauderic's appointment helps ensure the continued positioning of the three resorts, drive authentic and indigenous luxury experiences, allowing guests to immerse in Sir Bani Yas Island's royal legacy, heritage and wildlife.
  • Mohammed Wazir has been appointed as General Manager at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara. Bringing over 17 years of hospitality experience to the role, Mohammed moves to Qatar from his most recent position as General Manager at Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara in Oman.
  • Bayu Fidiyanto has joined Waldorf Astoria Dubai, Palm Jumeirah, as its new Indonesian chef de cuisine. He works at the resort's upmarket Southeast Asian outlet LAO. With the restaurant currently championing dishes from Vietnam and Thailand, he has been brought in to add more Indonesian knowledge to the mix.
  • Andrew Spearman has been appointed as General Manager at Six Senses Zighly Bay in Dibba, Oman. Spearman joins the Omani property having previously worked in luxury hospitality in Europe
  • Gauderic Harang has been appointed General Manager at Trio of Properties in Sir Bani Yas in Abu Dhabi. The Frenchman is well-versed in the Anantara brand, and even more familiar with operating its most sprawling properties.
  • Conrad Dubai has a new executive chef- Ilias Doulamis. The Greece-born chef is described by Conrad Dubai as a master of 'contemporary European with a Mediterranean twist’.
  • Mohammed Mahmoud has been appointed General Manager at Intercontinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa. Brought in for his expertise of the IHG group and of hotel openings, Mahmoud has previously served as GM of the InterContinental Durat Al Riyadh and InterContinental Fujairah as resort manager.
  • Jakub Adamowicz has been appointed Director of Engineering at Intercontinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa. Jakub Adamowicz will ensure the upkeep of the 351-room resort, which includes suites and villas, as Director of Engineering.
  • Jaehak Lee has been appointed Director of Food & Beverage at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa. The resort's six restaurants and bars, which are inspired by the surrounding mountains, desert and sea, will be overseen by him.
  • Natalie Litowtschik steps in as Director of Sales and Marketing at the soon-to-open InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa.
  • Carey White joins as Director of HR at the soon-to-open InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa.

  • Grant Budde has been appointed Hotel Manager at Th8 Palm in Dubai. Coming from an F&B background, Budde has been in the industry for over a decade, the majority of which has been spent in Dubai.
  • Keegan Payne has been appointed Food & Beverage Manager at Th8 Palm in Dubai. He was Caterer Middle East's Bar Manager of the Year in 2019.
  • Margarita Vaamonde joins Th8 Palm in Dubai as Executive Head Chef. Vaamonde will lead culinary operations at these venues, leveraging her previous experience with the likes of Masterchef, the TV Experience and Catch LA and Dubai.

  • Valor Hospitality has announced the appointment of Elaine Nandlal as Sales Manager of the much-anticipated Voco Johannesburg Rosebank. Voco Johannesburg Rosebank will be InterContinental Hotels Group's first Voco brand on the African continent.

  • Bar Trigona at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur is delighted to welcome new Head Bartender Shadrach Shan, better known as Shawn. A member of the Bar Trigona team since 2018, Shawn has been an integral part of its dazzling journey from local favourite to global trailblazer.
  • The Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has appointed Julian Brigget as its Assistant Bar Manager. Hospitality is second nature to Julian. This early exposure gave Julian a valuable understanding of guest service, ultimately inspiring him to build a career in hotels.

  • David Steyn has been appointed General Manager of the all-inclusive Bensley Collection - Shinta Mani Wild in Cambodia's South Cardamom National Park. David is not only a trained field guide with extensive wilderness experience, but also a trained sommelier.
