Ritz-Carlton New York, the
Ritz-Carlton Washington DC, as well as the
Whitehall and the
Tremont in Chicago.
Another Cornell graduate,
Louis Daniel,
has been appointed General Manager of
Orient-Express'
La Samanna, where he replaces
Bernard Sarme.
Daniel comes from Sao Paulo where he was responsible for South America for
Grupo Posadas (Fiesta Americana and
Caesar Park).
Warren Francis has been appointed General Manager of the
Ladera Resort, St. Lucia. Francis, Cornell graduate, was most recently the Interim General Manager at the
Abaco Beach Resort & Boat Harbour in the Bahamas. He had previously served as General Manager of
Cotton House on Mustique and General Manager of the
Palms in the Turks and Caicos.
Edward Mady has been appointed General Manager of the
New York Palace. For the past twenty-one years, Mady had been with
Ritz-Carlton, most recently as Vice President and General Manager for the
Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. He had previously served as General Manager of the
Ritz-Carlton New York. His first exposure to the New York Palace goes back to when he was its Hotel Manager and the hotel was still called the
Helmsley Palace.
Daniel Hostettler has been named Vice President and Managing Director for the
Ocean House at Little Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island, slated to open May 2010. He was most recently the Managing Director for
Lajitas. He had previously served as Managing Director at
La Posada de Santa Fe Resort and Spa and the
Summer Lodge Hotel and Spa in Dorset, England.
W Hotels appointed
William Bunce General Manager of the
W Boston Hotel & Residences, slated to open in September. Most recently, he served as General Manager of the
W Atlanta Perimeter. Bunce originally started with
Starwood in 1994 in the role of Executive Housekeeper for the
Westin Providence. More recently, he was the General Manager of the
Sheraton Lexington and the
Sheraton Braintree.
The
Ritz-Carlton, Lake Las Vegas has named
Bob Jensch General Manager. He was most recently at the
Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott, where he served as opening General Manager. Jensch had previously held the General Manager position at the
Nazareth Marriott, the
Ledra Marriott and the
Ritz-Carlton, Rose Hall, Jamaica.
Stephen Bello has been named General Manager of
Dolce Hotels and Resorts'
Lakeway Resort in Austin. He was most recently the General Manager of
Hawks Cay. He previously served as President of
Classic Hospitality and General Manager at the
Madison in Washington D.C. and the
Hotel Hershey. In addition, he spent nine years with
Ritz-Carlton.
Sheldon Suga is Steven Bello's successor at the helm of
Hawk's Cay. A native of Canada, Suga recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the 2,000-room
Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.
Dean Andrews has joined
Hay Creek Hospitality as a principal Partner. He was previously the President of the North America division of
Orient-Express. After leaving Orient Express in 2008, Andrews was briefly the President of Santa Monica-based
JRK Hospitality.
Paul Kirwin has been named President and Chief Operating Officer by
Northcott Hospitality. He had a twenty-five-year career at the
Carlson Companies, where he most recently served as President of its Americas division.
Matt Felix has been named General Manager of the
Renaissance M Street Hotel in Washington, DC. He was previously the General Manager of the
Washingtonian Center Marriott in Gaithersburg.
John Blanco is the General Manager of the
Bristol Buenventura in Panama City. He was most recently the General Manager of Hawaii's
Kahala Resort. Blanco also spent several years with
Ritz-Carlton in various locations.
Marco Perry has moved with
Joie de Vivre to open the
Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach as General Manager. He had previously served as General Manager of the
Hotel Angeleno, the
San Ysidro Ranch and the
Heritage House in Mendocino.
Pieter Knot has been named General Manager at
Marriott's
Frenchman's Cove on St. Thomas. He was most recently the General Manager at
Marriott's
St. Kitts Beach Club in the British West Indies.
Alejandro Rueda has moved back on property to oversee the
Condesa Hotel in Mexico City for
Grupo Habita. He has been with the group since 2001, most recently as Strategy Manager in the Mexico City corporate office. He previously served as General Manager for both the
Hotel Deseo and the
Hotel Basico located in Playa del Carmen.
Hans Mulders has been appointed General Manager of the
Seaview Resort near Atlantic City. He was most recently with the
West Paces Hotel Group as General Manager of
Casa Madrona Hotel & Spa, and the
Ocean Place Resort & Spa. Previously, he was with
Noble House Hotels & Resorts as Managing Director of the
Grove Isle Club & Resort in Miami.
Joseph Dadiego has been named General Manager of the
Doubletree Guest Suites Boston. He was most recently the General Manager of the
Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center, Chicago North Shore.
Jim Morrissey has been named General Manager of the
Sheraton Music City Hotel Nashville replacing
Hugh Harper, who served as the hotel's General Manager for fourteen years before retiring last month. Morrissey was previously a Regional Director of Sales and Revenue Management for
Interstate Hotels and Resorts.
Jacob Ascher has been named General Manager of the
Hilton Newark Airport Hotel. His most recent position was serving as opening General Manager for the
Hilton Garden Inn Liberia Airport Hotel in Costa Rica.
Karl Kruger has been named Vice President, Managing Director of the
Riviera Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, run by
Noble House Hotels & Resorts. Kruger was most recently the Senior Vice President of Operations for Seattle-based
Cruise West. At the Riviera, he takes over from
Brett Schoenfield.
Xavier Moulin has been promoted to the role of General Manager at the renamed
Hotel Frank in San Francisco. He joined the property, previously known as the
Maxwell Hotel, as Assistant General Manager. Previously, he held various rooms management positions at
Raffles L'Ermitage in Beverly Hills and the
St. Regis Los Angeles. He is a graduate of the Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne.
Danna Holck has been named General Manager of the
Rio Mar Beach Resort & Spa in Puerto Rico. Most recently, Holck was the General Manager of the
Westin San Francisco Market Street. Brett Schoenfield has been named General Manager of the
Vail Cascade Resort & Spa. He was most recently the General Manager of the
Riviera Resort & Spa in Palm Springs. He spent twelve years at the
Homestead where he had been the President since 2004, after joining as a Rooms Division Manager. He also spent ten years with
Hyatt.
Jon McGaunn has been named General Manager for the
Atlantic Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. He had previously overseen the rooms division for the
Ritz-Carlton Boston, the
Ritz-Carlton Boston Common and the
Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach. Most recently, McGaunn worked with
PGW based in West Palm Beach, Fla., as managing director of the
PRE Group.
Javier Egipciaco has been appointed General Manager of the
GEM Hotel Chelsea adding to his current responsibility managing the
GEM Hotel SoHo. Egipciaco was most recently managing both the GEM Hotel SoHo and the
GEM Hotel Midtown West.
In Manhattan, the
GEM Hotel Midtown West has named
Ashley Grogg General Manager. She was most recently the Front Office Manager at the
GEM Hotel Chelsea.
Matthias Smith has been promoted to General Manager of

Keswick Hall, a property he had joined in August 2007 as Director of Operations, following six years at the
Four Seasons Wailea Maui, which he left as Director of Food and Beverage.
Mike McNeill was promoted to Vice President, Operations, North American Hotels and Resorts for
Dolce Hotels and Resorts. He previously served the company as Regional Vice President.
Rob Oosterhuis moves to the
Four Seasons Santa Barbara as Director of Clubs – overseeing the
Montecito Country Club and
Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club. He is returning to Four Seasons after serving as Head Professional at the
Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas from 2000-2003 and Director of Golf at the
Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica from 2003-2006.
Sage Hospitality has appointed
Ed Baklor Divisional Vice President. Since 1995, Baklor had been with
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, most recently as Senior Vice President, Adventures by Disney.
Dolce Hotels and Resorts has appointed
Richard Maxfield Chief Operating Officer. He was most recently the Senior Vice President of Operations for
Omni Hotels.
Nancy London has been named
Westin's new Vice President and Global Brand Leader taking over from
Sue Brush who is retiring in December after thirty years with the company. London is currently the Vice President of Marketing for the Westin Global Brand Team.
Nikhil Bhola has joined the
Wyndham Research Triangle Park in North Carolina as General Manager. Bhola was previously the Director of Rooms for the
Umstead Hotel and Spa.
Hugh Templeman moves to Santa Monica to oversee the
Viceroy as Director of Hotel Operations. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the
Four Seasons Dublin. Prior to joining Four Seasons in 2003, Templeman spent six years with
Ritz-Carlton in St. Louis, Dearborn and Bali.
Desires Hotels has appointed
David Moth Director of Operations. He joined the company in 2006, and was most recently serving as General Manager at the
Strand Ocean Drive in South Beach. Moth had previously held the position of General Manager at the
Sagamore in South Beach and Interim General Manager at the
Glenn Hotel in Atlanta.
Del Mar Development has named
Tracy Ford Director of Property Management for
Hacienda in Cabo San Lucas. Ford has been with Del Mar Development since 2005, most recently with
Villas Del Mar at
Palmilla. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage for
Starwood Hawaii and Hotel Manager for the
Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa.

Sarah Woodfin Wynn General Counsel. She was most recently the Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the
Wyndham Hotel Group. Previously, she spent nineteen years with

Blair Vago has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of New York City-based
3Sixty Hospitality. He was most recently the Director of External Reporting for
Clipper Windpower in Santa Barbara.
Peter Strebel was appointed Chief Revenue Officer for
Dolce Hotels and Resorts. Strebel formerly was President of
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and previously spent 10 years with
Omni Hotels, most recently as Vice President, Sales and Marketing.
Elizabeth Oliver has been named Controller for the
Naples Bay Resort. Oliver was most recently the Director of Finance for the
Daufuskie Island Resort in South Carolina. She had previously served as Controller for the
Westin Innisbrook Golf Resort and with the
Adams Mark Hotel in Charlotte.
Randall Wheelis has joined the
Warwick New York as Financial Controller. He was previously with
Pyramid Hotels as Regional Controller. Wheelis also served as Controller for
Tishman Hotels and
Rockresorts.
Shane Bruns has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage for the
Hotel Contessa in San Antonio. He was most recently the Director of Culinary Operations for the
Treana Restaurant Development Group. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage for
Oro Restaurant & Bar at San Antonio's
Emily Morgan Hotel.
Antoni Yelamos has relocated to Miami to oversee the
W South Beach as Director of Food and Beverage. For the past nine years, he had been with
Thinkfood Group in Washington, DC, most recently as Director of Development.
Mary Beth Harcarufka has been named Director of Human Resources for the new
Waldorf Astoria Orlando and the
Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, scheduled to open in October. She was most recently the Director of Human Resources for the
Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort.
Michael Goldrich was appointed Director of Global Web Services and E-Commerce for
Dolce Hotels and Resorts. He was most recently with

Hotel Derek in Houston. She had previously served as a Sales Manager for the Hotel Derek from 2004 to 2007 when the hotel was under different management and rejoins the hotel from Houston's

Linda Cahue has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the
Wyndham Palm Springs soon to become the
Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel at the Convention Center. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for the
Marriott Houston Airport.
Daemon O'Neil has been named Account Director at the
Trump Soho New York, due to open later this year. His most recent position was as Media Account Director at the
Gramercy Park Hotel.

Michelle Luces as its new Director of Revenue Management. She previously worked with

The
Four Seasons Silicon Valley has named
Paul Kuhn Director of Catering. Kuhn comes from the
Hilton Boston Back Bay where he served as Director of Catering and Event Services. He was previously with
InterContinental as Director of Catering and Conference Services of the
Mark Hopkins.
Linda Poole has been named Director of Catering for the
Driskill Hotel. She was most recently overseeing catering for
Ernst & Young. She had previously worked in catering and sales for a number of hotels in the Austin area including the
Renaissance Austin Hotel, the
Austin Hotel and the
Austin Marriott at the Capitol.
Craig Strong has been appointed Executive Chef of
Studio, the restaurant at the
Montage Laguna Beach. For the past eight years, he had served as Chef de Cuisine at the
Dining Room at the
Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena, where he earned a Michelin star. Strong had previously served in the kitchens of the
Ritz-Carlton Buckhead, and the
Hotel Arts in Barcelona. At Montage, Strong takes part of the position left vacant by
James Boyce.
Douglas Dodd has joined the
Montage Beverly Hills as Chef de Cuisine, overseeing the
Parq restaurant. For the past seven years, he had been with the
Hotel Bel-Air as Executive Chef. He had previously spent two years as a Chef for the
Phoenician in Scottsdale and six years at the
Little Nell in Aspen.
Victor Scargle is leaving his Executive Chef post at
Go Fish in St. Helena to become an instructor at the nearby
Culinary Institute of America's Greystone Campus in St. Helena. His past experience includes chef stints for the shuttered
Pisces in Burlingame, the
Grand Cafe in San Francisco and
Julia's Kitchen in the defunct
Copia.
In Berkeley,
Josh Thomsen is the new Executive Chef at the
Claremont Resort and Spa, which includes
Jordan's and
Paragon. Thomsen had previously served in the kitchens at
Tao at the
Venetian Resort Las Vegas,
Boa Steakhouses, and the
Lodge at Pebble Beach.
Antonio Perez has been appointed Executive Chef of the
Hotel Oro Verde Ecuador. For the past nine years, he had been with
Ritz-Carlton, most recently at the
Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall Jamaica. He had previously held culinary positions for the company at the
Ritz-Carlton Boston, the
Ritz-Carlton Phoenix and the
Hotel Arts Barcelona.
Thierry Meissonnier has transferred to the
Hilton Orlando as Executive Chef. He has been with Hilton since 1983, most recently as Executive Chef at the
Hilton Chicago. His previous Executive Chef stints include the
Hilton Walt Disney World Resort, the
Hilton Guam, and the
Hilton Singapore.
The
San Juan Water & Beach Club has named
Israel Calderon Executive Chef. Recently, he was Executive Chef at the
Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Resort in Cancun.
Kurt Zuger has been appointed Executive Chef for the
Westin Westminster in Colorado. He had been the Executive Chef at the
Wigwam Golf Resort & Spa since 2003. He previously worked at the
Buttes, the
Scottsdale Princess and the
Arizona Biltmore.
Mary Watson-DeLauder has signed on with
Benchmark Hospitality as Chief Wine Officer, continuing to run her own wine consulting business. This is a return to Benchmark for Watson-DeLauder, having previously served for fifteen years as Sommelier at the
Lansdowne Resort.
Jared Heber has moved over to
BLT in Los Angeles as Beverage Manager. For the past year, he had been with
Gordon Ramsay at the
London in Hollywood as General Manager. He had joined the London initially as Sommelier after serving in similar roles for
Osteria Mozza,
Bouchon and the
French Laundry.
The
Eldorado Hotel & Spa in Santa Fe has named
Wendy McGowan Spa Director of the
Nidah Spa. She was most recently the Spa Manager at the
Away Spa in the
W San Diego.

Jumeirah Frankfurt.
She briefly was the General Manager of Dubai's
Mina A'Salam, after being the General Manager of Paris'
Royal Monceau.Emmanuel Richardet has been appointed General Manager for the
Sheraton La Caleta Resort & Spa in Spain, taking over from
Gregory de Clerck. Richardet was most recently the General Manager at
Le Méridien Dona Filipa & San Lorenzo Golf Resort in Portugal.
Alexandre Fougerole is the opening General Manager of the
Radisson Blue Metropolitain in Paris. He was previously in the same capacity at the
Hotel Astor Saint Honoré, also in Paris. Fougerole is also a former General Manager of Paris'
Montalembert.
Arnaud Bamvens has been appointed General Manager of the
Pullman Bordeaux (formerly the
Sofitel Aquitania), taking over from
Jean-Louis Goube. Bamvens comes from the
Grand Hotel Barrière in Dinard, where he spent the past four years, after serving as General Manager of Barrière's
Castel Marie Louise in La Baule.
Franck Brionne has been appointed General Manager of the new
La Réserve in Ramatuelle, near St. Tropez, sister property to
La Réserve in Geneva. He was previously the General Manager of
Le Lana in Courchevel, and spent nine years in various positions at the
Byblos (both in St. Tropez and Courchevel).
The
Maybourne Hotel Group has promoted
Mark Carnazzola to the newly created position of Area Director of Finance, London. He was most recently the Director of Finance at the
Berkeley. He had previously served as Finance Manager at the
Jumeirah Carlton Tower, and as Regional Financial Controller with the Australian and New Zealand
Mirvac hotels.
Hilton has named
James Glover Vice President, Food and Beverage, for Europe. He is an industry veteran, who spent six years with
Disneyland Paris, after a four-year stint at the
Athenaeum InterContinental Athens. Glover previously spent fourteen years with
Hilton International.
Hervé Laborde, the Director of Finance at the
Four Seasons Geneva, has been promoted to Area Director of Finance, responsible for Geneva as well as the
Four Seasons George Cinq and the
Four Seasons Terre Blanche. He had been the Controller at the
Hotel des Bergues since 1999 when it became the Four Seasons Geneva in 2005.
Joe Queen has joined
Thistle Hotels as Executive Chef. He was most recently in the same position at
Craigendarroch on Royal Deeside.
Claridges's has promoted
Steve Allen to Chef de Cuisine, taking over from
Mark Sargeant who is now handling publishing and television ventures for
Gordon Ramsay. Allen was most recently the Head Chef for the hotel.
Chris Staines has joined Hampshire's
Heckfield Place as Executive Chef. He was most recently overseeing
Foliage at the
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. The hotel may be the spot for
Heston Blumenthal to open
The Fat Duck's first London restaurant.
The
Gore Hotel has appointed
Ness Sekakmia as Food and Beverage Manager. He was most recently at the
Savill Court Hotel as Food and Beverage Operations Manager.
ASIA AND THE PACIFIC James McBride returns to Asia to take over as President of
YTL Hotels and Properties based in Singapore. He was most recently the Regional Vice President and Managing Director at the
Carlyle. He was previously the General Manager for the
Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur before heading to oversee the
Ritz-Carlton Georgetown and the
Grosvenor House in London.
Johannes Jahns has been promoted to Director of Asia operations for
Best Western International. He was most recently Best Western's group General Manager for the UAE.

Oberoi, General Manager
Marc Denton goes from the
Oberoi Bali to the
Oberoi Rajvilas. He had originally joined the company in 2006 as General Manager of the
Oberoi Lombok.
Andrew Hendrian has been named General Manager of the
Leela Palace Kempinski Bangalore. He was most recently the General Manager at the
Hyatt Regency Dubai. He had previously overseen the
Hyatt Regency Cologne, the
Grand Hyatt Dubai, and the

Sofitel Wanda Ningbo has appointed
Mok Kok Meng General Manager. Mok joined
Accor in 2004 as Resident Manager with the pre-opening team for the four hotels in
Xi'an Renmin Square. He was most recently the General Manager of the
Grand Mercure and
Mercure Teda Hotels Dalian.
Hans Hordijk returns to Asia as General Manager of the
Fairmont in Beijing. He had moved to the US last year to be Vice President of Hotel Operations, for
Echelon Las Vegas. He is also a former General Manager of the
Oberoi Rajvilas.
Mark Heywood has been named General Manager of the
Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel. His most recent posts were as General Manager of the
Shangri-La Qingdao and at the
Kowloon Shangri-La.
With
Shangri-La,
Siegwald Bierbaumer moves from General Manager of the
Traders Yangon to that of the
Shangri-La Guilin. He originally joined the company in 1992 as Executive Chef of the
Shangri-La Golden Sands in Penang.
Frédéric Lebègue will be the opening General Manager of the luxe
Beach House at Manafaru, a
Waldorf Astoria Collection, in the Maldives. He was previously the Director of Operations at the
Hilton Maldives.
Hanno Stamm has been appointed General Manager of the
Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa. He had been at the
Victoria Phan Thiet Resort & Spa as General Manager since May 2007. He had previously held the position of General Manager for the
Victoria Chau Doc Hotel followed by the
Victoria Can Tho Resort.
Jeffrey Chan has been appointed General Manager of
Tiens Sego Hotel Tianjin, which is scheduled to open in August this year. He was most recently the Resident Manager of the
Pavilion Hotel Shenzhen.
Ronan Bianchi takes over from Hanno Stamm as General Manager at the

Raymond Marcel Zuest takes over from Ronan Bianchi as General Manager of the
Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa. He had been at the
Victoria Can Tho Resort as General Manager since 2007.
Vo Xuan Thu has been promoted to General Manager at the
Victoria Can Tho Resort & Spa. She was most recently the Rooms Division Manager for the resort.
Lendy Ma was promoted to General Manager of the
Aqua Waikiki Beachside Hotel. She has been with Aqua since 2004, holding the position of Hotel Manager for the
Aqua Palms & Spa and the
Continental Surf Hotel.
Susan Weander was promoted to General Manager of
the Equus, and the
Waikiki Marina Hotel. Most recently, Weander was Assistant Director of Sales for the
Renaissance Ilikai Waikiki.
David Hopcroft has been named General Manager of the
Shangri-La Eros Hotel, New Delhi. He was most recently at the
Shangri-La Fijian Resort and Spa as General Manager.
Alessandro Cabella has joined the
Marina Bay Sands project in Singapore as General Manager for the
Paiza Hotel. For the past two years, he had been the Vice President and Resort Manager at the
One&Only Ocean Club.
Francois Foulon has been named Operations Manager at
Laos' Villa Maly. He had previously served as a Corporate Sales Manager for
Victoria Hotels and Resorts and as Train Manager on the
Victoria Express. Ram Hiralal has moved as Resort Manager to the
Four Seasons Bali at Sayan. She was most recently the Resort Manager at the
Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru. She has been with the company since 2003 serving in upper management positions for the
Regent Kuala Lumpur, the
Four Seasons Langkawi and both resorts in the Maldives.
Boris Blobel has been promoted to Resort Manager for the
Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. He was most recently the Director of Operations for the
Conrad Shanghai.
Warren Hochreiter has moved as Area Director of Finance for the
Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa and the
Four Seasons Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, taking over from
Art Davis. He was most recently overseeing the finance department for both the
Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran Bay and the
Four Seasons Bali at Sayan.
Marlon Hirsh has transferred to the
Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore as Executive Assistant Manager-Rooms. He was most recently in the same position at the
Ritz-Carlton, Bali Resort & Spa.
Christian Gérart has joined the
Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa in Bali as Executive Assistant Manager-Food and Beverage. He was most recently the Food and Beverage Manager at the
Oberoi, Mauritius.
Tracey Fentem has joined the
St. Regis Bora Bora as Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past year, she had been with
Wymara on Turks and Caicos as Director of Sales and Marketing. Previously, she had overseen sales and marketing at the
Hotel Derek in Houston and for
Ritz-Carlton for seven years.
Betty Lim has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the
Hard Rock Hotel Penang. She was most recently the Director of Sales at the
Parkroyal Penang.
Linda Li has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing of the
Sofitel Wanda Chengdu. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing of the
Sheraton Xiamen Hotel. Lily Loo has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at
Sofitel Shanghai Hyland. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for the
Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao.
Jade Woon has been promoted to take over from Loo.

InterContinental Hong Kong has appointed
Marita Reyes Marcos Director of Marketing. She previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the
Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, the
Peninsula Palace Beijing and at the
Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.
Biswo Khadka has been named Director of Revenue and Marketing at the
Swissôtel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Centre. He had previously served in sales and marketing roles for the
Crowne Plaza Zhengzhou, the
InterContinental Phnom Penh and, most recently, at the
Holiday Inn Downtown Beijing.
The
Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio has named
Janelle Cram Director of Sales and Marketing. Most recently, Cram served as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for
Prism Hotels, based in Dallas.
Leon Chen has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the
Kingkey Palace Shenzhen. He was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for the
Grand Mercure Oriental Ginza Shenzhen.The
Sanya Kempinski Spa & Resort has appointed
Steven Deng Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing. He previously worked as Director of Sales with the
Resort Golden Palm.
Rajan Viswanathan will soon assume the position of Director of Human Resources at the
Four Seasons Mumbai. He joined the company in 1997 at what was supposed to be the
Four Seasons Goa as Front Office Manager and then moved to the
Four Seasons Maldives. He also spent six years as Assistant Director of Human resources at the
Regent Singapore.
Andrew De Brito is transferring to the
Four Seasons Shanghai as Director of Food and Beverage. He comes from the
Four Seasons Mumbai, after serving in a variety of roles in the Maldives, Aviara and Langkawi.
Fabrice Huet has been promoted to the position of Executive Chef, overseeing the
Four Seasons Resort at Manele Bay, the
Lodge at Koele as well as the
Golf Clubhouses at Challenge at Manele and
Experience at Koele. He was most recently serving as Executive Sous Chef after serving in the kitchens at the
Four Seasons Hualalai.
Daniela Koch has joined the
InterContinental Hong Kong as Director of Rooms. She was most recently the Director of Front Office Operations at the
Jumeirah Essex House and previously at the
Madinat Jumeirah Resort in Dubai as Guest Services Manager.
Christian Welbled has been transferred as Director of Food and Beverage from
Raffles Dubai to
Raffles Singapore. Prior to joining Raffles Dubai in September 2007 as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, he held a similar title at the
Fairmont Dubai and the
Peninsula Manila.
C.F. Leung has joined the
InterContinental Hong Kong as Assistant Director of Engineering. For the past twelve years, he had been with the
Excelsior Hong Kong as Project Engineer.
The
Conrad Maldives Rangali Island has appointed
Anita Foss as Spa Manager. She was most recently the Spa Director and Consultant for the
Chuan Spas.
MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA Philip Barnes has been named Regional Vice President, United Arab Emirates and General Manager for the
Fairmont Dubai. He replaces former Fairmont Dubai General Manager
Kamal Naamani who joins the pre-opening team of the
Fairmont Peace Hotel in Shanghai as General Manager. Barnes had previously served as General Manager at the
Fairmont Vancouver and, most recently, as Regional Vice President, Middle East, for
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts,
based in Dubai.
Jean-Marc Michel has joined
Constance Resorts as General Manager of the
Ephelia Resort in the Seychelles. For the past two years, he had served as Resort Manager for
One&Only Le St. Géran. He had previously served in upper management roles at
Reid's Palace and the
Carénage Bay Resort.
Hartmut Noack has been appointed General Manager of the
Best Western Premier Creek Hotel, Dubai. He was most recently the General Manager of the
Hanoi Horizon Hotel.
Jean Pierre Chaumard has been named General Manager of
Le Royal Mansour Marrakech, set to open in November. He had previously overseen the
Royal Palm in Mauritius for twenty years and served at
La Mamounia, the
Royal Evian and managed the hotel of the late Shah of Iran, the
Empereur Pahlavi.
Romain Meiran, formerly at
Le Meurice in Paris, joins Chaumard as Deputy General Manager.
Yannick Alléno, the Three-Michelin-Starred Chef of Le Meurice, will be consulting for the restaurant.
Claude Rath has been named General Manager of the
Mövenpick Resort & Thalasso in Sousse, Tunisia. He was most recently at
Le Méridien Singapore, which he headed up as General Manager for the past three years.
Sun International has brought back
Chris Van Dam as General Manager of the
Palace of the Lost City in South Africa. Van Dam was first appointed General Manager of the hotel in 2004 before he moved on to the
Sahara Sun Sands and Oasis Hotel in Port Ghalib. He had previously served as Hotel Manager for the
Royal Livingstone.
Jorgen Jorgensen has been named General Manager of the
Radisson Blu in Tripoli. He previously ran the
Regent Espanade in Zagreb, following a stint as General Manager of the
InterContinental Dubai.
Rutger Verschuren has been appointed as Complex General Manager for the complex of
Sheraton Tripoli Hotels and
Four Points by Sheraton Tripoli slated to open in 2010. He was most recently the Managing Director of the
Sheraton Macau Cotai Strip. Prior to this, Rutger was Vice-President of Operations for
Dusit International in Thailand for over seven years.
Brenda Le Moine has been appointed as Director of Residences for the pre-opening of the
Marriott Executive Apartments Doha City Center in Qatar. Her previous assignments include the position of Guest Relations Manager at the
Taba Heights Marriott Beach Resort, Guest Communications Manager at the
JW Marriott Dubai and most recently as Front Office Manager at the
Miami South Beach Marriott.
Christophe Pagni has been named Resident Manager for the
Grand Hôtel du Lagon on Réunion Island. He had previously served in various management positions for
Paesotel e Caselle Resort, the
Hyatt Regency Casablanca and the
Hyatt Regency Riyadh.
John Rees has been promoted to Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Food and Beverage at the
Phoenicia InterContinental. He comes from the position of Area Director of Food and Beverage – resorts - for
InterContinental in Indonesia and Malaysia, based in Bali.
The soon-to-open
Traders Hotel in Abu Dhabi has appointed
Ahmed Issa Director of Food and Beverage. He had previously served as Assistant Director of Food and Beverage for the
Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri and for the
Shangri-La Dubai.
Leo Holli has joined the
Towers Rotana Dubai team as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently the Food and Beverage Manager at
Villa, Rimal & Rihab Rotana.

Four Seasons Amman after joining the hotel in 2004 as Director of Catering.
Mohamed Karara has been promoted to Director of Marketing at the
Four Seasons Amman. He joined the property in 2005 as Director of Sales after serving as a Sales Manager at the
Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh.
Karim Fehry Fassy has joined
Le Royal Mansour Marrakech as Director of Sales and Marketing. He was previously at
Emirates Palace in Dubai as Director of Sales.
Greg Kocsis has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage at the
Four Seasons Beirut. He originally joined Four Seasons in 2000 in Newport Beach as a Restaurant Server. He had been the Director of Food and Beverage at the
Four Seasons Gresham Palace in Budapest since August 2007.

Four Seasons Beirut,
Huda Malhas has been appointed Director of Marketing. Huda, a Canadian and Jordanian national, joined the
Four Seasons Amman in 2004 as Director of Catering. In 2007, she was promoted to Director of Marketing.
Grace Moore is the opening Director of Human Resources at the
Four Seasons Beirut. She previously opened the
Four Seasons Dublin, the
Four Seasons Hampshire and the
Four Seasons Mumbai.
Gary Robinson has joined the
Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri as Executive Chef, replacing
Tim Stanhope, who is now at the
Pudong Shangri-La in Shanghai. Robinson most recently held the same post at the
Kowloon Shangri-La.
Holger Jackisch has been named Executive Chef at the
Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay in Egypt. He had previously served as Executive Chef for the
Ritz-Carlton Bahrain and at the
Al Qasr-Madinat Jumeirah.
Daniel Nuss has left the newly opened
M Resort in Las Vegas, to return to Abu Dhabi as Executive Chef of the futuristic
Yas Hotel, slated to open by the end of the year. Nuss is also a former Executive Chef of the
Luxor in Las Vegas. His first exposure to Abu Dhabi came in 2000 when he was the Executive Chef of the
InterContinental.
At the
Four Seasons San Stefano at Alexandria,
Jesse Olsen has been named Executive Chef, coming from the
Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza where he had been the Executive Sous Chef since 2007. He also held a similar position at the
Four Seasons Los Angeles.
Gerald Hutteau has been appointed Executive Chef of the
Mövenpick in Sousse, Tunisia. His global career has included stints as Executive Chef at the
Regent Grand Formosa, the
Sheraton Royal Orchid, the
InterContinental Sharm El Sheik and the
InterContinental Bali.
Eric De Blonde was named Executive Chef at the
Four Seasons Beirut. He, who was the Executive Chef of the
Four Seasons London for sixteen years, had moved to the
Four Seasons Amman in 2002 and also was the opening Executive Chef of the
Four Seasons Alexandria in February 2007.
Michel Kok has joined the
Villa, Rimal and Rihab Rotana Dubai team as the new Food and Beverage Manager. He had previously served as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at the
Murooj Rotana Dubai.
Stan Holy has transferred to the
Four Seasons Beirut as Director of Engineering. He was most recently the Director of Engineering at the
Four Seasons Budapest. He has previously served as Director of Engineering for the
Four Seasons Prague.
