THE AMERICAS

Mark Tamis has joined Carnival Cruise Lines as Senior Vice President Guest Operations. Before taking on his most recent role with the Setai Group, he had served as President of Schrager Hotels, General Manager of the Delano and Hotel Manager of the former Four Seasons Newport Beach.
 
Ali Kasikci joins the Hillcrest Country Club in January as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager. He was most recently the Vice President for Strategic Marketing and Development for Montage Hotels and Resorts after serving for three years as Managing Director for the Montage Beverly Hills. He had previously held the post of Managing Director of the Peninsula Beverly Hills for fifteen years.

The Grand Hyatt New York has appointed Mark Pardue General Manager. A Hyatt man for 22 years, he served as General Manager for the former Stanhope Park Hyatt New York, the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch and, for the past four years, the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe.

Fred Findlen takes over for Pardue as General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay and had previously served as General Manager of the Hyatt Key West and the Hyatt Dorado Beach.

Craig Martin has been named Managing Director of the Gansevoort Miami Beach. He was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Sunset Resorts in Jamaica. At the Gansevoort, he takes over from Ilan Segal.

Lisa Timbo has joined the Renaissance Schaumburg as General Manager. She had previously managed the Chicago O'Hare Suites, the Chicago Marriott O'Hare and the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook.

Stacey Nichols has been appointed General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. Most recently, she served as General Manager of the Hyatt Deerfield.

Geoffrey Mills is Vice President, North America for Yotel. He was most recently the General Manager of New York's Paramount. He also was the General Manager of the Embassy Suites New York, the Crowne Plaza at the United Nations, the Melrose and the Algonquin.

Mark O'Brien has been appointed General Manager of the Thayer Hotel at West Point. He was most recently the Executive Vice President of Impulsive Group in New York. He had also served with Hampshire Hotels and Resorts as General Manager of the Dream hotel, the Time hotel, the Night hotel and the Chopra Center and Spa, all in New York.

Joe Shurmur has moved as General Manager to the Detroit Metro Airport Marriott. He was most recently serving as General Manager of the Detroit Marriott Southfield.

Randi Hamilton takes over from Shurmur as General Manager of the Detroit Marriott Southfield. She was most recently the Director of Operations for the Sheraton Detroit Novi.

The Hyatt Regency Aruba has appointed Fred Hoffmann General Manager. He spent the past two years as General Manager of the Hyatt Key West. Hoffmann began his hospitality career at the resort in 1990 as a Banquet Manager for the opening team.

Bill Quiseng has joined the Henry, the former Ritz-Carlton Dearborn, as General Manager. He was previously the General Manager of the Inn at Bay Harbor – A Renaissance Golf Resort in Bay Harbor, Michigan.

David Hall has been appointed General Manager of the Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego. He was most recently the General Manager at the InterContinental Chicago O'Hare.

David Hill has been named General Manager of the Four Points by Sheraton, Washington, D.C. Downtown. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Suites, Palm Springs. He had previously served as General Manager for the Hotel George, the Hotel Lombardy and the Henley Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.  

Roland Baumann has been appointed General Manager for the Eldon Luxury Suites Hotel in Washington, D.C. He was most recently Director for the Matterhorn Group of Zermatt, Switzerland, operator of hotels, restaurants and lounges in Zermatt. He has also previously served as Professor at the École Hôtelière de Lausanne.

The Westin New York at Times Square has named Terry Lewis General Manager. She was most recently in the same position at the W Times Square.

Mark Weatherill has been named General Manager for the Starwood Houston Memorial City Complex featuring three distinct Starwood brands including Four Points by Sheraton Houston Memorial City, Sheraton Houston West and the Westin Houston Memorial City & Residences. He previously served as Director of Operations for the Westin Galleria Dallas, and as Director of Food and Beverage for the Westin Calgary.

The Dominican Republic's Casa de Campo has named Daniel Hernández General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager at AMResorts.

Marriott has taken over the Westin City Center Dallas and named Nour Laasri General Manager. Laasri was in a similar role at the Dallas/Fort Worth Solana Marriott.  

John Garth has been named General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa Jupiter. He was most recently the General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.

The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego has named John Schafer Vice President Managing Director, taking over from Ted Kanatas. For the past two years, Schafer was at the Hyatt Regency Chicago as Vice President Managing Director and had previously served as General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Denver.

Cornell graduate Phil Baxter has joined the Sheraton Four Points LAX as General Manager, taking over from Erik Dahlerbruch. Baxter was most recently the General Manager at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach, California.

Wolfgang Wehen has been promoted to Hotel Manager at the Westin New York at Times Square. He was most recently the General Manager of the W New York - The Court & The Tuscany, overseeing the sale and exit from Starwood for both properties in April 2010.  

The Hyatt Regency Chicago has named Paul Daly Resident Manager. He was most recently the Vice President of Food and Beverage for Hyatt Hotels Corporation.

The Hilton Orlando has promoted Chris Mueller to Resident Manager. He was most recently serving as Director of Food and Beverage for the resort. He had previously spent eighteen years working for Disney, including Disneyland Hong Kong, in various roles.

Jose Adames is joining the Four Seasons Punta Mita as Resort Manager. He was most recently the Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Austin. He had previously served as Director of Rooms at the Beverly Wilshire and the Four Seasons Dallas.

Hector Moreno has joined the Siegel Group in Las Vegas as Vice President Operations. He was most recently with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino as Senior Director of Hotel Operations.

Hersha Hospitality has named Gregory Ade Executive Vice President of Operations. Previously, Ade was Chief Operating Officer of Millennium Hotels and President of Wyndham Hotels Management Company.

Angelo Rios has joined the Trump Hotel Panama as Director of Finance. For the past seven years, he had been with Fairmont in Controller positions with the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, the Fairmont Newport Beach and the Fairmont Pierre Marques in Acapulco.

Albert Charbonneau has joined the Viceroy Miami as Director of Food and Beverage. Previously, he had served as Director of Food and Beverage at Raffles L'Ermitage, the Hollywood Roosevelt and Shutters on the Beach.

Adam Rosenbaum has moved to the Patina Group in Los Angeles as Vice President of Restaurants. For the past year, he had been with the Chaya Restaurant Group as Vice President of Operations. He had previously served as Director of Operations for Patina before taking on the role of General Manager for Craft in Century City.

Gerard Hayes has joined the Horseshoe Bay Resort as Assistant General Manager and Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently the Director of Food and Beverage at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center at the University of Texas, Austin.

Ralph Cautela has joined the soon-to-open Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas as one of its Directors of Food and Beverage. He was most recently at Caesar's Palace as Food and Beverage Director.

Franck Savoy takes over from Cautela as Food and Beverage Director at Caesar's Palace. Savoy was most recently the General Manager of his father's Restaurant Guy Savoy. Taking over from Savoy as General Manager is Alain Alpe.   

Scott Hamilton has left the MGM Grand Las Vegas to join Pinnacle Entertainment as Director of Food and Beverage at L'Auberge du Lac, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A former Manager at Nobu Las Vegas, Hamilton had been at the MGM Grand Las Vegas in a variety of management positions since 2004.

Benchmark Hospitality has named Jason Gershon Director of Food and Beverage for the Heldrich. He most recently held the position of Director of Food and Beverage and Conference Services for the Dolce Valley Forge.

Benchmark Hospitality has named Darrin Pinkham Vice President Information Technology. He had previously served as Vice President, Hospitality Technology for Ginn Resorts.

Tonie Hernandez Corral has joined the Four Seasons Punta Mita as Director of Human Resources, taking over from Carolina Sainz. She was most recently the Area Director of Human Resources for Mayan Palace Resorts Puerto Vallarta.

Jonathan Sicroff has been promoted with Four Seasons to Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing Americas, based in Toronto. He has been with the company since 1986, most recently as Vice President Hotel Marketing - the Americas. He had previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the former Four Seasons Clift Hotel and Regional Director of Sales for the company's Los Angeles Worldwide Sales Office.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts has named Kathleen Barone Vice President, Global Sales and Strategic Accounts. She previously served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott.

Erik McDonald has been named Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Hersha Hospitality. Formerly, McDonald was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Procaccianti Group.

Isabel Gracia has moved over to the Raleigh in Miami as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently at the Gansevoort South in the same position. She had previously served in sales positions for the One&Only Ocean Club Paradise Island and the Mandarin Oriental Miami.

Danielle Carter has been named Director of Sales for the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago. She most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Inn of Chicago as well as National Sales Manager for Kokua Hospitality representing the Allerton, Doubletree Magnificent Mile Chicago and the Aloft in Maryland.

Karen Goldberg has joined Virtuoso as Director, Sales and Marketing for the Hotels & Resorts Program based in New York. For the past twelve years she had been with the Hôtel Plaza Athénée as Director of Sales and Marketing.

The Thayer Hotel has appointed Douglas Simon Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently the Director of Sales for the IBM Palisades Executive Conference Center.

Donna Bond has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. For the past five years, she had been the Vice President Sales and Marketing at Sunstone Hospitality Management.

Kristi Kavanaugh returns for the third time to the St. Regis Aspen, taking on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing. She had previously served as Sales Manager at the resort earlier in her sales career then returned as Director of Sales before taking on her most recent role as Group Sales Director for Snowmass Tourism.

Nora Melikian has joined the Hotel 71 in Chicago as Director of Sales and Marketing. She was most recently the Director of Group Sales at the Fairmont Chicago. She is a former Director of Sales and Marketing for the Peninsula Chicago and the Ritz-Carlton Cleveland.

At Grand Hotels of New York, Ty Horn has been promoted to Director of Sales for the Tribeca Grand. He was previously the Director of Corporate Sales for both the Soho Grand and the Tribeca Grand. Prior to that, Horn spent three years as Director of Sales at the Boston Harbor Hotel.

Alina Wade has been promoted to Director of Sales with Joie de Vivre Hotels at the Custom. She was most recently serving as Associate Director of Sales at their Hotel Angeleno. She had previously served as Director of Sales at the Sportsmen's Lodge Hotel outside of Los Angeles and the Hilton Garden Inn Six Flags in Valencia.

Amy Ballard has joined the Opus Hotel in Vancouver as Director of Sales. For the past two years she had been at the Beverly Hilton as a Senior Sales Manager.

Shireen Kline has moved to the Doubletree Philadelphia as Director of Sales and Marketing taking over from Scott Behm. She was most recently in the same position for the Doubletree Wilmington.

Michael Kofsky has been named Director of Sales at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. He was most recently with the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis as Director of Sales.

The Eldorado Hotel & Spa has named Doug Libby Director of Sales and Marketing. Libby most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre

Bill Dunphy has taken on the role of Director of Sales and Marketing at the Michelangelo in New York. Previous Director of Sales and Marketing positions include stints at the Pierre (both as a Taj Hotel and as a Four Seasons), Mandarin Oriental The Mark and the UN Plaza Hotel.
 
Deborah Lisboa has moved to the InterContinental Century City as Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past five years, she was in the same role for the London in West Hollywood and previously when it was flagged the Wyndham Bel Age.

The Hotel at Auburn University has appointed Tim Aylsworth Director of Sales and Marketing. He was most recently the Vice President of Sales for the Newport Beach Conference & Visitors Bureau. Formerly, he had served as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hyatt Valencia and Santa Clarita Conference Center and the Hyatt West Hollywood.

The Heathman Hotel in Kirkland has promoted Belinda Jensen to Director of Sales. She was most recently a Sales Manager, joining the hotel in 2007 in pre-opening. Breanne Ojala moves into Jensen's vacated position as Sales Manager.

Sharon Blazer has been named Director Sales at the Don Cesar Beach Resort, A Loews Hotel. She was most recently with the West Paces Hotel Group as Director of Sales for the Hotel 71 in Chicago.

Puerto Rico's El Conquistador Resort has named Evy Garcia Director of Sales. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Gran Meliá Golf Resort Puerto Rico

The Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel has named Jeanette Ulepic Director of Sales. She was most recently the Director of Group Sales at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile.

The Langham Huntington in Pasadena has promoted Amber Voelker to Director of Group Sales. She joined the hotel in 2003 when it was the Ritz-Carlton Huntington and was most recently a Senior Sales Manager and interim Director of Group Sales.  

Philippe Bertineau took over the kitchen at Benoit, Alain Ducasse's restaurant in Manhattan, replacing Pierre Schaedelin. Bertineau was a former Executive Chef at Payard Patisserie and Bistro and had more recently been at Balthazar.

The St. Regis Mexico City has named Enrique Guzmán Executive Chef. He most recently served as Director of Operations and Executive Chef at Mexico City restaurant Águila y Sol and also served as Director of Food and Beverage and Corporate Chef at Ambrosia Banquets.

Sam Hazen has joined Veritas in New York as Executive Chef and Partner. He was the former Corporate Executive Chef for Tao restaurants in New York and Las Vegas and Executive Chef at Tavern on the Green.

Joshua Smith is moving to open Milos in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas as Executive Chef. He had previously worked with Alain Giraud as Chef de Cuisine at the former Anisette Brasserie before taking on his most recent Chef de Cuisine role at Church and State.

David Bazirgan has joined the Fifth Floor in San Francisco as Executive Chef, taking over from Jennie Lorenzo who left earlier this summer. Bazirgan most recently opened Chez Papa Resto as Executive Chef.

Steven Rojas is now the Executive Chef for Chez Papa Resto in San Francisco. He was most recently the Chef de Cuisine at the Jonathan Club in Southern California. He was a former Chef de Cuisine at El Bizcocho at the Rancho Bernardo Inn and Executive Chef at Saddle Peak Lodge.

Gonzalo Cerda has joined Esperanza as Executive Chef. For the past six years, he had been with Four Seasons in various culinary positions at the Four Seasons Carmelo, the Four Seasons Whistler and the Four Seasons Papagayo.

Todd Williams moves over as Assistant Executive Chef to Caesar's Palace. He was most recently Chef at Bradley Ogden.

Jason Robinson has joined Eddie V's in Houston as Executive Chef. He had previously served as Executive Chef at the Inn at Dos Brisas and in various culinary roles for the Fog City Diner Chicago, Tru and the former Goodfellows in Minneapolis.

Hash and High, in the Hotel Erwin on Venice Beach now has David McMillen running the kitchen. He takes over from Micah Fields who has transitioned over to the Hotel Maya in Long Beach. McMillen was most recently Executive Chef at the Highland Golf & Country Club in Indianapolis.

Tiffany Sawyer has been appointed Executive Chef of the Stowe Mountain Lodge. She was most recently serving as Personal Chef to the Wrigley family and had previously served as Chef at the Beaver Creek Lodge and the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center.

The Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg has appointed Peter Pahk Senior Executive Chef. For the past fourteen years, he had been at Napa Valley's Silverado Resort as Executive Chef, following a fourteen-year stint with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Atlanta, California and Hawaii.

Gilles Kolakowski has moved as General Manager to open Milos at the soon-to-open Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. For the past six years, he had been with MGM Mirage as General Manager at Picasso and Mix Las Vegas.

Stéphane Colling has joined Bar Boulud in New York as General Manager. He was most recently with L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in the Four Seasons New York as General Manager and Wine Director.

Anthony Fisher has joined the soon-to-open Comme Ça Brasserie Las Vegas as General Manager. For the past three years, he had been overseeing Dos Caminos Las Vegas at the Palazzo. He had previously served as General Manager at the Mandalay Bay for the Michael Mina Group at Stripsteak and for the Innovative Dining Group at Boa Steakhouse.

Nicolas Grounin has moved to Mix Las Vegas as General Manager, taking over from Steve Moberly, now at the W Vieques. Grounin was most recently with Groupe Alain Ducasse in Las Vegas as Regional Controller.

Jean-Philippe Teresi has joined the Sugar Factory at the Paris Las Vegas as Director of Operations. For the past three years, he had been overseeing Bradley Ogden Las Vegas and previously served as Manager at Charlie Palmer Steak in the Four Seasons Las Vegas.

Eric Espuny has joined the Langham Huntington in Pasadena as Sommelier. He was most recently the Beverage Director at the Jonathan Club. He had previously served as Sommelier for Patina in Los Angeles, Lutèce in New York and Le Bernardin.

Craig Newton returns to Four Seasons as Spa Director at the Four Seasons Vail. He had previously served as Spa Director at the Four Seasons Las Vegas.

Hotelman Paul Sonnabend has died. The son of the founders of the Sonnadend-owned Hotel Corporation of America (later to be renamed Sonesta Hotels), he was a Cornell graduate who, among other career accomplishments, managed New York's Plaza in the days of Truman Capote's famous Black and White ball.

Raymond Visan, the co-creator of the Buddha Bar concept, has died. He was 60.

EUROPE 

Denis Hennequin has been appointed Executive Director for Accor, taking over from longtime Chief Executive Officer, Gilles Pélisson. Hennequin has been on the board of Accor since 2009 and had held the positions of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of McDonald's Europe since 2005. He had been with McDonald's since 1984.

Didier Boidin has been promoted to Vice President of the InterContinental Hotel Group for Europe, Russia and Ukraine. Boidin has been part of InterContinental for 30 years. In 1994, at age 34, he became the General Manager of Cannes' landmark Carlton InterContinental. Since 2005, he has been at the helm of the InterContinental Le Grand in Paris, in addition to his regional responsibilities.

Paris' Hotel Fouquet's Barrière has appointed Pierre Ferchaud General Manager. For the past seventeen years, he had been running Paris' Hotel Bristol. He had previously served with Concorde Hotels as Senior Vice President and as General Manager of the Hotel Concorde Lafayette

The Regent Grand Hotel Bordeaux has named Michel Galopin General Manager. He was, for the past twelve years, the General Manager of the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat. Galopin had previously held management positions in Paris at the Ritz, the Plaza-Athénée and Le Vendôme in addition to Asia at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and the Peninsula Hong Kong

Rivero Delgado has been named with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company as General Manager of Hotel Arts Barcelona. She had previously served as General Manager of the Hotel Villa Padierna, Marbella.

Nicolas Meylan will be taking over from Gérard Hotelier as General Manager of the Mövenpick Geneva. While Hotelier moves up to Vice President Operations for Mövenpick in the Middle East, Meylan, an IHMI Cornell graduate, comes from the Radisson Blu in Brussels, a property he had joined as General Manager after many postings with InterContinental in Brussels, London and Paris.

Christophe Laure has returned to the InterContinental Paris Le Grand as General Manager. He was formerly the General Manager of the hotel from 2002 to 2004 before he transitioned to the InterContinental Malta and his most recent post as General Manager of the InterContinental Madrid.

Holbeck Ghyll in England's Lake District has appointed Andrew McPherson General Manager. For the past five years, he had been managing the Swinton Park Hotel in North Yorkshire and is a former General Manager for Skibo Castle.

Fernando Gibaja has been named General Manager of the Jumeirah Port Soller on Mallorca. He was most recently the Resident Manager for the Mandarin Oriental Riviera Maya in Mexico. Gibaja also spent ten years with Ritz-Carlton in New York, Cancún, St. Thomas, Singapore and Barcelona.

The County Hotel Newcastle has appointed Steven Devine General Manager. For the past three years, he had served as General Manager for the Thistle Kensington Gardens and Bloomsbury Park in London.

Daniel Graham has been named General Manager at Buxton Palace Hotel in Derbyshire. He was most recently with Barcelo's Shrigley Hall Hotel, Golf and Country Club in Cheshire as Operations Manager.

The Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Michael Neuner Vice President Food and Beverage, based in Brussels. He succeeds Christer Larsson who joined Carlson Hotels in Minneapolis as Vice President Food and Beverage. Neuner, a Lausanne graduate, is a former Director of Food and Beverage for Harrods Knightsbridge and most recently served as Hospitality Director at McArthurGlen in London.

Chris Staines has joined the Feversham Arms Hotel and Verbena Spa in Yorkshire as Director of Food and Beverage. He was most recently Head Chef for the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts has appointed Aaron Greenman Senior Vice President, Development - Europe. He previously served as Head of Business Development for JHM Interstate, Interstate's management joint venture in India. 

Relais & Chateaux has named Thomas Jobbé-Duval Marketing Product Development Director. He was most recently a Marketing Director with the Michelin Guide.

Dan Gill has been appointed Head Chef of Michelin-starred Roussillon in London. He is a former Midsummer House Sous Chef. Gill replaces Alexis Gauthier, who opened his own restaurant, Soho, this past summer.

The Park Plaza County Hall London has named Mark Dancer Executive Chef. He had previously served in various culinary positions with Pebble Hotels, the Clifton Ford Hotel and the Selfridge Hotel.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC 

Vincent Hoogewijs has been named to the position of General Manager at the Four Seasons Sydney, following the retirement of longtime General Manager Stephen Lewis. Hoogewijs has been with the company since 2004, serving as Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Bangkok and General Manager of the Four Seasons Mexico City and, most recently, the Four Seasons Mumbai

John Blanco has joined Singapore-based GHM as General Manager of the Nam Hai in Vietnam. A graduate of Glion, Blanco was until now the General Manager of the Bristol Buenaventura in Panama, following three years as Managing Director of the Kahala Resort in Hawaii. Blanco is also a former Ritz-Carlton and Auberge Resorts man.

Andreas Oberoi has been named General Manager of the St. Regis Bangkok slated to open in January 2011. He was previously the General Manager of the Hotel Ramazzino in Sardinia, Italy.

Robin Edwards has been appointed Vice President of Operations for OCT Hotels and General Manager of the new Beidahu Ski Resort in Jilin Province, Northeast China. Edwards was previously Vice President of Operations and General Manager of the Seaview O - City Hotel in Shenzhen.

Hilton Worldwide has appointed Gerd Knaust General Manager of two new resorts scheduled to open soon: the Conrad Sanya Haitang Bay and the Doubletree by Hilton, Sanya Haitang Bay. He was most recently the General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Sanya. He had previously served as General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Surabaya and Hotel Manager at the Excelsior in Hong Kong.

Rudy Oretti is the opening General Manager of the Banyan Tree Macau, a move up from his previous position of General Manager of the Banyan Tree Bali. He is also a former General Manager of the Leela Palace in Bangalore and of La Pirogue in Mauritius.

Richard Mau has been named General Manager of the Papandayan in West Java. For the past three years, he had served as Resident Manager at the Gran Melia Jakarta.

Luc Bollen is the new General Manager at the Pan Pacific Suzhou. He was most recently serving as General Manager of the Sari Pan Pacific Hotel in Jakarta. 

The soon-to-open Westin Hefei Baohe has named Paul Cunningham General Manager. He was most recently at the Westin Beijing Financial Street as Hotel Manager.

The Westin Nanjing has appointed Richard Deutl General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager at the Sheraton Tianjin Hotel.

Avi Haksar has transferred as Hotel Manager to the Four Seasons Bangkok. For the past two years, he had been the Hotel Manager at the Four Seasons Los Angeles after joining the hotel in 2006 as Director of Food and Beverage. 

Gert Noordzy has joined the Wyndham Hotel Group as Regional Director of Operations - Pre-opening & Operations Support, Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. Noordzy was previously the General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Kaohsiung E-Da World in Taiwan and Director, Hotel Openings, for InterContinental

Stephen Hinck has returned to the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort with a promotion to Resident Manager. He had previously served as Director of Food and Beverage for the resort before taking on his most recent position as Director of Operations for the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.

The Westin Hefei Baohe has appointed Gabriel Lo Executive Assistant Manager. Since 2005 he had been at the Sheraton Guilin as Director of Sales and Marketing before taking on his most recent role as Executive Assistant Manager, Sales and Marketing.

Dean Seo has joined the Peninsula Manila as Director of Food and Beverage. He was previously serving as Director of Food and Beverage with the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta and the Mandarin Oriental Macau.

Raffles Hotel Le Royal Phnom Penh has appointed Charles Demange Director of Food and Beverage. The Lausanne graduate was most recently at Raffles Singapore as Director of Food and Beverage.

Goncalo Monteiro has been named Director of Food and Beverage at the Four Seasons Macau. He was most recently serving in food and beverage positions with the Four Seasons Lisbon.

Thomas Harlander has transferred to the Park Hyatt Tokyo as Executive Assistant Manager Food and Beverage. For the past two years, he had been at the Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires in the same position.

Four Seasons has named Patrick Ghielmetti Vice President, Human Resources, Asia Pacific, based out of Singapore. He had previously served with Four Seasons as Regional Vice President for the Chicago hotels, and General Manager of the Four Seasons Bangkok, the Regent Chiang Mai and the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheik.

The Westin Nanjing has named Lily Chen Director of Sales and Marketing. She had previously held sales positions with Four Points by Sheraton Daning and the Westin Bund Center Shanghai.

The Mandarin Oriental Macau has appointed Samson Woo Director of Sales and Marketing. For the past three years, he had served as Director, Travel Trade Sales, at Hong Kong's Disneyland Resort.

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed Richard Rheinberger Director of Sales and Marketing – Oceania, based in Sydney. He was most recently Regional Director of Sales and Marketing with Mirvac Hotels & Resorts.

Orient-Express has appointed Marcos Pires Director of Sales and Marketing, based in Singapore. He had previously served in sales and marketing positions for the Hotel Concorde La Fayette in Paris, the Peninsula Palace Hotel Beijing and Swire Hotels.

The Hilton Tokyo has appointed Peter van Peborgh-Gooch Director of Business Development. For the past years, he had served as Director of Sales and Marketing at Rocco Forte Collection's Le Richemond Geneva.

The Hilton Tokyo has appointed Armin Brandtner Executive Chef. He had previously served as Executive Sous Chef at the InterContinental Berlin and Executive Chef for the Steigenberger Hotel Frankfurter Hof.

The Four Seasons Maui has named Afonso Cunha Director of Rooms, taking over for Sunil Narang. Cunha was most recently serving as Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Dallas at Las Colinas.

Martin Cody returns to the Maldives as Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru. He had previously served as Front Office Manager and Assistant Director of Housekeeping for the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa. Formerly, he had served as Assistant Director of Rooms at Lanai's Lodge at Koele, and as Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Langkawi.

Helen Greene moves to Bali to take over as Director of Spas for both Four Seasons hotels. She was most recently with the Four Seasons Hong Kong as Spa Director.

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA 

Paul Jones, who had left Kerzner International after no less than 38 years of service, has been named Chief Executive Officer of Mauritius-based Naiades Resorts.

Hilton Worldwide has appointed Christian Grage Vice President of Operations, Egypt and Levant, based in Cairo. He was most recently with Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, holding the position of Acting Senior Vice President & Vice President Operations and Human Resources for Africa, based out of Egypt. 

Alejandro Bernabé has been appointed General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates, taking over from Holger Schroth. Bernabé was most recently at the Kempinski Aqaba as General Manager.

Jorgen Jorgensen has been promoted to Regional Director for North/West Africa by Rezidor. He moves up from the position of General Manager of the Radisson Blu in Tripoli.

Georges Chauve has moved to Tripoli to take on Jorgensen's role of General Manager at the Radisson Blu. For the past five years, he had been in Moscow serving as General Manager of the Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya, the Holiday Inn Moscow Suschevsky, and at the Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya.

The Radisson Blu Bosphorus Hotel, Istanbul has named Sonja Dive-Dahl General Manager with the additional responsibility of District Director Turkey & Georgia. The Cornell graduate was most recently City General Manager for Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel and the Park Inn Hotel Danube.

Holger Schroth has moved as General Manager to the recently opened Siam Kempinski Bangkok. He was most recently the General Manager of the Kempinski Mall of the Emirates

Beach Republic has appointed Alex Chakrabarti General Manager. He was most recently the General Manager of the Hotel G Beijing. He is the former Operations Director and Executive Assistant Manager of the Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel.

The Radisson Blu Alexandria has named Yousry Ali General Manager. Since 2004, he had been at the Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh as Resident Manager. 

Arno Nicolussi Moretto has taken on the role of Area General Manager of the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, taking over from Didier Tourneboeuf who is retiring. He had previously served as General Manager for the Olympic City InterContinental and the Shanghai InterContinental.

Joe Batshoun has been named General Manager of the Cove Rotana Resort-Ras Al Khaimah. He was most recently an Area General Manager with Marriott and the General Manager of the JW Marriott Houston

Ali Haddad has been appointed General Manager for the Swiss-Belhotel Plaza Kuwait. Haddad comes from his most recent post with Mövenpick Hotel and Resort Al Bida'a in Kuwait to take over from former General Manager Jihad Hamed.

The Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo has appointed Ahmed El Hady Hotel Manager. He was most recently the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in Egypt and Jordan. 

One to One Hotels - the Village in Abu Dhabi has appointed Elizabeth George Director of Human Resources. She had previously served in the same position with Hill International, John Buck International and Bond Communications.

The Radisson Blu Tala Bay Resort, Aqaba has appointed Bassam Adnan Banna Director of Sales and Marketing. He had previously served in sales and marketing positions for the Rezidor Hotel Group and Radisson SAS Hotels in Amman and Aqaba.

Abdo Kayali has joined Southern Sun as Complex Director of Sales and Marketing, for the group's two Dubai properties, Al Manzil and Qamardeen Hotels. He moves from a similar position at Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai

The Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo has appointed Ashraf Haggag Executive Assistant Manager of Sales and Marketing. Most recently, he held the position of Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for Retaj Hotels & Residences Doha.

Cape Town's Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa has appointed Henrico Grobbelaar Executive Chef. During the 2010 FIFA World Cup, he had served as Executive Chef.

Brian Hathaway has joined the Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza as Senior Director of Spas. He had previously been at the Four Seasons Bali as Director of Spa.
