EarthCheck has announced the opening of their office in Beijing, China. The Beijing opening comes on the back of phenomenal company growth in region, driven by the financial benefits that sustainable operations deliver.
The Beijing office will be headed by Ms Yan Ke. Yan completed her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Tourism Business Management from Beijing International Studies University before acquiring a Masters degree in Advanced Commerce from the University of Queensland. She has since worked as an associate lecturer for one year at their business school and acquired 10 years of experience within the tourism industry. In this time Yan founded the Association of Australian Ecotourism Research and has built a strong network in the tourism and academic fields across both China and Australia.
EarthCheck CEO Stewart Moore was quoted as having said that they are delighted to have Yan heading their Beijing office. Moore added that Yan is highly respected by the industry and will be an excellent local contact for their Greater China members as they further extend the company's reach.
By opening an office in Beijing, EarthCheck aims to further extend its reach in Greater China and to foster increased understanding of the importance and advantages of adopting sustainable tourism practices that deliver triple bottom line outcomes.
