The Vietnamese tourism industry got back on track in October as international arrival growth recovered following a sharp drop in September.
Data released by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism showed a total of 518,477 international visitors received in October, marking a year-on-year increase of 21%.
This equates to a month-on-month jump of 80% after arrivals dipped 25% in September. The October performance has restored the confidence of tourism authorities that annual arrivals will hit 5.3 million for 2011 after recording more than 4.8 million foreign visitors in the first ten months of the year.
