Jumeirah Group's first hotel in continental Europe, Jumeirah Frankfurt, hosted an official opening party with the guest of honour was the Mayor of Frankfurt, Petra Roth – pictured cutting the ribbon with Jumeirah Frankfurt General Manager Dagmar Woodward and Jumeirah Executive Chairman Gerald Lawless.
The 218-room hotel, which sits at the heart of Frankfurt's commercial and business district, started receiving guests on 1 August and witnessed a major surge in business during the Frankfurt Motor Show during September. By the day of the gala opening, Frankfurt was buzzing with the news of the new hotel – helped perhaps by the presence of 60,000 bees on the roof of the hotel who supply honey to Max On One, its signature restaurant.
During her speech, the Mayor of Frankfurt welcomed Jumeirah to the heart of her city and expressed her delight that one of the finest brands in Dubai had come to Frankfurt – an event made even more significant by the fact that the cities are twinned.

Gerald Lawless expressed his thanks to the Mayor and the people of Frankfurt, to the developers MAB, and most importantly to all the Jumeirah colleagues in Frankfurt, in Europe and in Dubai who helped bring this remarkable property to life and deliver the promise of ‘Stay Different' to its guests.
This is the fourth Jumeirah hotel to open this year after Jumeirah Zabeel Saray in Dubai, Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel in Shanghai and Jumeirah Dhevanafushi in the Maldives. In the next nine months a further five hotels will open in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, the Maldives, Baku and Kuwait.
