Thailand-based Dusit International has unveiled plans to set up its first property in the Maldives.
The new Dusit property will be located in Mudhdhoo Island, in Baa Atoll, northwest of Malé. The Dusit Thani Maldives Mudhdhoo Island, which is 40 minutes away from Malé via seaplane, is expected to open later this year in mid-December.
The property will feature 46 beach villas, two beach houses, 30 water villas, 20 ocean villas, and two ocean houses that are considered to be the largest in the Maldives.
Other facilities will include a 50-metre swimming pool, pool bar, overwater and grill restaurants, a tree top spa, tennis courts and a dive centre.
