eRevMax International, which recently made two acquisitions – Lunar Logic Polska and SimpleDistribution – is in talks for two further acquisitions even as it expands in Asia, CEO Sascha Hausmann told WIT.

"One is services related and is in contract stage and another one is product related and we are just starting due diligence. The services one is a smaller transaction, the product related is a several million transaction.

"I cannot disclose more on either right now. We are also looking into other strategic product opportunities where we have not decided yet whether those will be acquisitions or partnerships and joint ventures. With the hiring of a COO, myself and the board now have more time to focus on strategic / mid to long term initiatives."

In Asia, it will be opening an office in China this year and is currently discussing several larger opportunities with Asian travel companies, he said.

"In general our Singapore office is growing nicely, although still very small compared to our overall business. This will hopefully change towards the second half of the year when we have completed our learning phase and will start to invest more, similar to what we are doing in Europe and the US."

Said Hausmann, "There has been a lot of focus on Asia in the past two years. OTAs are trying to rapidly expand and obtain market share by either their own product or by acquisition.
