Following the recent signing and sealing of the contract for the future Mövenpick Hotel Dubai Pearl (opening in 2005), now Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has succeeded in arranging the take over of a 4-star deluxe hotel already operating in the pulsating metropolis of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates: The Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai.
With its advantageous location – in close proximity to Wafi City and the quarter of Deira but also only 10 minutes away from the Dubai World Trade Centre – the new Mövenpick Hotel will undoubtedly be the perfect base for both business people and tourists alike.
The 232 modern rooms – including 50 suites, all of which are spread out over 5 floors – enable the Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai to offer its guests every form of comfort and convenience. Services include interactive TV, Internet access, 24-hour room service, limousine service, babysitting facilities, gift shop, swimming-pool, fitness centre, beauty salon and a multi-storey car park accommodating 200 vehicles. A Business Centre and an Executive Lounge are available on the Executive Floor for business guests.
The Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai offers the high-quality and varied culinary style so typical for Mövenpick. An Italian, Mexican and a Lebanese restaurant as well as a traditional English pub and a café lounge all offer gastronomic highlights of the highest order.
Events and banquets are also well taken care of at the Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai. A separate entrance leads to the area of the hotel where visitors will find state-of-the-art technology in operation to enhance all kinds of functions. The ballroom, accommodating 450 guests, is equipped with audio-visual features and its pièce de résistance is a hydraulically-operated, revolving stage. Six other conference rooms are available for the staging of meetings and all manner of events.
"For the Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Dubai constitutes an extremely important focal point in the Middle East, a veritable hub for us. It's true that we have been represented throughout Egypt and Jordan for many years and for a shorter time also in Qatar, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia but we always felt a base in the United Arab Emirates was missing", explained Andreas Mattmüller, Senior Vice President of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East. He added: "Now we are delighted that the Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai will be able to fill this gap and enable us, also in this location, to receive guests from all over the world and greet them with our traditional Swiss hospitality." |
