Customers participate in season of giving campaign when enjoying ONEHOPE wines inflight through December.

American Airlines is inviting customers to enjoy a selection of ONEHOPE wines as part of American's complimentary wine offering in its premium class cabins between October and December, the timeframe known as American's "Season of Giving." ONEHOPE is a California wine company that donates 50 percent of its profits to important social causes. American's selection of ONEHOPE wines and designated beneficiaries will change each month to benefit a different social cause.

"At American, we know our customers and employees are passionate about the causes that most significantly impact their lives, which is why our ONEHOPE wine selection benefits breast cancer awareness and treatment, our troops and their families, and our environment," said Rob Friedman, American's Vice President – Marketing. "Our ONEHOPE wine offering represents our commitment to give back to the people and the communities we are privileged to serve."

During the month of October, customers sipping the ONEHOPE Chardonnay will support breast cancer education, prevention and treatment. "We know that women in the U.S. have a one in eight chance of developing breast cancer. That's why ONEHOPE donates 50 percent of profits generated from the sale of our Chardonnay to the fight against breast cancer," said Tom Leahy, ONEHOPE President.

In November, customers enjoying ONEHOPE Yellow Ribbon Red Zinfandel will be supporting our troops through Snowball Express, a nonprofit organization that offers hope and new memories for the children of service men and women who have died on active duty since Sept. 11, 2001. As the official airline of Snowball Express, each December American dedicates chartered aircraft to fly family of fallen military heroes from all over the country on an all-expenses-paid trip. American employees also volunteer their time to decorate departure gates and aircraft interiors, staff the flights and assist with activities throughout the trip.

In December, for every bottle of Green Ribbon Sauvignon Blanc enjoyed onboard American, ONEHOPE will plant a tree through its partnership with the American Forest Foundation in order to help mitigate the effects of climate change.

This selection of ONEHOPE wines will be part of American's complimentary wine service in First and Business Class onboard American Airlines transcontinental and Hawaii flights. In addition, ONEHOPE wines are available for purchase online as part of ONEHOPE's 20/20 Give Back program. American Airlines customers who visit onehopewine.com/american to purchase ONEHOPE wines will receive a 20 percent discount on the purchase price and ONEHOPE will donate 20 percent of your purchase to charity.

American Airlines, a founding member of the global oneworld® Alliance, is dedicated to providing its First and Business Class customers with a premier inflight dining experience. The selection of exceptional wines served onboard American's flights is determined by its official wine consultant, Ken Chase, a classically trained winemaker and viticulturist. Wine lists are updated monthly to ensure that only the finest red, white, sparkling and dessert wines are available onboard.
