Maritim's international expansion continues.

Maritim's Canary Island portfolio is expanded to include a third Spanish property, Fuerteventura Bad Salzuflen.

The Maritim Hotel Esquinzo Beach occupies an enviable spot on Fuerteventura's southern Jandía peninsula – a sought after European holiday destination. Nestled amidst an undulating landscape only seven kilometres from the idyllic fishing village of Morro Jable, the hotel affords fabulous sea views from practically all of its 389 rooms and bungalow suites.

All are comfortably furnished and elegantly appointed and have either a balcony or a terrace, air conditioning, SAT-TV and a minibar.

The first class Hotel Esquinzo Beach is the result of extensive renovations that also extended to its expansive landscaped grounds. Picturesquely placed within this lush tropical greenery are the refreshing waters of the hotel's two swimming pools and the separate children's pool.

Those preferring to delve into the Atlantic depths reach the fine sandy beach after a quick walk. Facing the hinterland once there, the clever integration around 10 years ago of the hotel within its natural surrounds becomes startlingly apparent.

Among the accommodation variations, the Maritim Hotel Esquinzo Beach has family suites with two bedrooms and separate living areas – ideal for mums, dads and kids when enjoying unforgettable holidays. Additionally, the hotel provides professional childcare and has its own playground.

Active holidaymakers looking forward to a bit of sport during their vacations will find the Maritim Hotel Esquinzo Beach has numerous fun ways to expend energy. In addition to the three tennis courts, there are also courts for volleyball and basketball. The fitness centre has machines for cardiovascular workouts as well as weightlifting equipment.

Afterwards, a visit to the wellness facility is just the thing to indulge in some well-deserved pampering.

Taking up the reins of the first class hotel is Felix Diesch – a Maritim manager with valuable know-how gained in various overseas postings. The experienced hotel boss ran the Hotel Esquinzo Beach from 2001 to 2003 and is looking forward to the opportunity of guiding the property to its full potential now that it's under Maritim management.

The Maritim Hotelgesellschaft is one of Germany's leading hotel groups. Its overseas portfolio currently includes hotels in Turkey, Egypt and Latvia, as well as on Malta, Majorca, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Mauritius. The group enjoys a worldwide presence through its marketing- and sales partner Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc. The company plans on further solidifying its strong position within the European first class hotel industry through ongoing expansion.
