According to the local authorities, hotel occupancy across Indonesia has remained stable in the aftermath of the bomb blasts, which destroyed parts of JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta and The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta, in the capital city.
The occupancy trends of hotels in Jakarta have not shown any significant fluctuations while Bali hotels have not reported declines in occupancy.
However, there have been minor groups of guests transferring from foreign-controlled hotels to local luxury ones.
In addition, local hoteliers have warned of the repercussions of visitors avoiding Indonesia if there is no progress with the investigation of the bombings.
