Named Aquis Hotels and Resorts, the management structure of is based on internationally recognised and successfully implemented standards, and reflects the variety of knowledge and experience of the company board members, a team of established hospitality and tourism professionals with international experience and track record for innovation and advanced management and practices.

The company identified the lack of hotel groups in the East Med (Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Egypt) hotel industry, in comparison with West Mediterranean and mainly Spain, which already has developed hotel chains, hotel groups and franchise brands opportunities in the last decade.

On this basis, Aquis Hotels and Resorts, has acquired two unique properties in key locations in Corfu island from 2009 onwards.

The Agios Gordios Hotel which is to be renamed into Aquis Agios Gordios Beach Hotel and the Pelekas Beach which is to be renamed to Aquis Pelekas Beach Hotel. Both properties are to be transformed into advanced All Inclusive board basis, after a major refurbishment.

The outstanding beach locations, along with the advanced management practices and the improvement of property and service standards, will offer to Corfu Island an additional tool to attract upmarket clientele and increase the standards of competitiveness within the upmarket hotel industry, in the destination.
