Conrad Shanghai to open 2008.

Scheduled to be completed this year the striking Conrad Shanghai will be located in the heart of the vibrant Xintiandi district. The hotel's ultra-contemporary design has been inspired by traditional Chinese motifs and will feature 362 stylish guest rooms, a chic urban spa, state-of-the-art meeting facilities and two standalone annexes housing innovative food and beverage and recreational facilities

Hilton Hotels Corporation a world-leading hospitality company and Shanghai Li Xing Hotel Company Ltd signed an agreement for Hilton to manage Conrad Shanghai; Shanghai's most spectacular hotel development.

The upmarket Xintiandi district is part of an urban revitalisation project comprising trendy boutiques, restaurants and shops in the heart of the city centre of Shanghai, Puxi. Xintiandi also features commercial and residential properties.

Commenting on the significance of the occasion, Matthew Hart, President and Chief Operating Officer for Hilton Hotels Corporation said: "When people think of luxury accommodation in Shanghai, they will think of Conrad.
