Europe's first podcast dedicated to discussion of tourism issues was launched recently, by the Travel and Tourism Research Association and the School of Hospitality Management and Tourism at the Dublin Institute of Technology.

Listeners and learners from around the world have now access to the Faculty of Tourism & Food unique expertise in theses fields. Prominent academics give their views on where global Tourism is going and anticipates what needs to be done to capitalise on these new directions.

The monthly podcast will feature contributions from both academics and practitioners.

The Let's Talk Tourism Podcast can be accessed at www.magictouch.ie. The first in the series of podcasts features interviews with Scott Meis from Canada, Rick Taylor from South African and Dr. Doug Frechtling from George Washington University.

Speaking at the launch Dr. Sheila Flanagan, Head of School said "The podcast will be an important resource for staff and students alike, as well as enhancing our school's profile among the broader global tourism community. This relatively new technology will enable our extensive research activities to be profiled and disseminated to an audience in a convenient and accessible format. We are delighted that the Travel and Tourism Research Association have joined us in creating this important resource."
